A conference flyer and agenda will be released soon, but please take a look at the draft agenda in the meantime regarding the pre-conference workshop, networking social, and post-conference RaHP VEC meeting.
Tuesday, February 18th:
1:00-5:00 pm: Pre-conference educational workshop hosted by RaHP VEC and the Wyoming Mosquito & Vector Management Association at the Snow King hotel. There will be two concurrent workshop sessions to choose from: VectorSurv and Mosquito ID. Please register with Mikenna Smith (msmith@tcweed.org)
VectorSurv: The VectorSurv data platform can provide a valuable tool to mosquito control and public health personnel, including the ability to visualize trends in mosquito abundance and infection prevalence, aid in generating reports, and see these same trends in nearby or similar districts. During this workshop, RaHP Vec will discuss and guide you through some of these basic functions.
Mosquito ID: This concurrent session will be tailored more towards newer employees in the mosquito control industry, and we will cover identification of adult mosquitoes to the genus and species level. There will also be a collection of mosquito larvae and ticks for folks who want to try their hand at some more advanced ID.
7:00-9:00 pm: Pre-conference social with vector themed trivia night and cash bar at Snow King
