A lawless bandit town located within the canyon filled with criminals, outcasts, and anyone daring enough to risk their throat doing business in the town. While many fortunes can be made in this place with no risk of petty law enforcement, there are also many ways to have one life cut short by the sharp end of a blade.
As said before, Rymek’s population consists of bandits, outcasts, smugglers. Many people from different backgrounds can find themselves ending up in Rymek, either escaping the war of the mainland, being cast out from the , or simply looking to make some profit.
Each part of Rymek is ruled by different bandit groups with the Creden Tibus, the bandit group that founded the town, being above all. However, due to Creden Tibus being disorganized, not all bandits ascribe to their rules and act on their own accord.
Unlike other parts of the province, gold is used as currency rather than emeralds. However emeralds can still be exchanged for gold through the bank within the town.
With Rymek being a lawless town, every denizen always carries their weapons during their daily routine to protect themselves at all times. Scamming and robbery are quite common occurrences in the town.
Their views on the war of the mainland are rather dismissive, as they simply believe the war has nothing to do with them due to their ancestors being kicked out or escaping from the mainland during the war.
They even operate out in the mainland, raiding and robbing supply caravans, villages that recently endured horde attacks, and the major towns.
While their specific operations and organization remain a mystery. Traces of their ancestry can be found back in the Corruption War during which they were kicked out of the mainland. These outcasts eventually gathered in the desert and canyon and formed a group of bandits that eventually became Credent Tibus. This group then founded Rymek in the mesa for generations.
Somewhere in those years the group sought refuge in a temple belonging to the long-gone desert empire, where they came across the very scepter that caused the fall of the empire. Understanding the power of the artifact, they took the duty to protect and keep it safe. This duty has been passed down from generation to generation- The current whereabouts of the scepter is unknown.
Almuj
Many bandits within Rymek are outcast from Almuj. Many of them still held Almuj's honorable ideology but twisted it in some way. Many bandits plan to heist on Almuj’s bank for riches or simply just roaming the desert near Almuj to rob unsuspecting wanderers.
Detlas
Rymek does trade with Detlas with its resources but the relationship is untrusting as the bandits tend to prefer the deal to be in more of their favor. There are few bandits out there that attempt to commit heist on Detlas at some point of time but most of them result in failure.
Corkus Island
While not directly interacting, many corkian smugglers do settle in Rymek to escape from the authorities as they sell their illegal corkians technology like guns and gadgets to the bandits. Some corkian even prefer living in Rymek and staying there for a long time.
