Nemract Insignia
A poor port town recovering from the loss of its original settlement many years ago, which is now called “Ancient Nemract ''. The town is being constantly harassed by corrupted hordes due to a lack of fortification and defense, with money being spent on guard golems, guards from other towns, and repairing structures, making the town constantly in poverty and relying on importing goods and shipments for its funding. It is currently protected by General Graken and his army, who are fighting against the corrupted necromancer Charon, the Keeper of Souls.
Citizens and visitors of Nemract
Due to the bad state of the town, it is only populated by sailors and fishers that are forced to live in the town because of their occupation. The constant horde attacks also cause some citizens to live in the sewer beneath the town. The advance of Detlas’ airship system being in competition with the port plays a part in the town's slow recovery.
Group of sailors and pirates can be often seen gathering at the town’s bar to drink themselves away as they tell each other their stories before their departure into the vast ocean. The most well-known regular to the bar is the captain of V.S.S Seaskipper, who always tells the stories of his travels and of travelers he met.
The infamous Nemract whiskey
With poor life conditions, the population of Nemract seeks comfort and faith in the Bovemism cathedral at Saint’s Row. Many attend the cathedral despite the Corruption managing to creep in underneath and corrupt the many corpses underneath the cathedral, forcing the priest to cut off the access to the basement.
The port town is also famous for its Nemract Whiskey, popular across the world for its accessibility and taste. Many sailors come to Nemract only to enjoy the whiskey at the bar and it became primarily exported goods for the town that allow for its survival until this day.
With the low budget, the town cannot afford fortification or a sizable army like other settlements. Many citizens were conscripted to protect the town along with guard golems. The recent betrayal of commander Takan led to a devastating loss for the military, resulting in Nemract requiring assistance from Almuj to fill the missing numbers within their forces.
Port Armors
Nemract militia consists of poorly geared guards with armor made of steel plates inside a leather jank, enough to defend the soldier and easily replace once damaged. The weapons mostly passed through many generations, as many weapons being used by current guards show signs of age and wear. The gear that Nemract offers is generally regarded as awful to the point some soldiers would buy their armor with their emeralds like General Graken.
Conscripts are equipped with a random set of gear that Nemract can afford, leaving most of the conscripts not fully armored and armed with unconventional weapons. The conscripts were tasked with defending the town from the corrupt remnants of their once-great city and other parts of the provinces.
Most of the guards and conscripts can be seen drinking whiskies before they get into combat, not for tactical advantage but simply to make them drunk enough to unaware how outmatched they are against the many corrupted horde attacking Nemract.
Frost Guards are warriors from not the Wynn province, but Ice Islands. Sent by the Ice Nations as due to a trade agreement to assist Nemract. They are known for their barbaric nature and brutality in close quarter combat.
Those who have stayed in Wynn province for long enough eventually gain knowledge of elemental magics, unsurprisingly preferring the ice element. Their use of magic however, is different. Instead of using it from far away, they use it to enhance their melee combat like enhancing their blade to freeze targets upon hit for example.
Oddly enough, despite the ongoing war between the Dujgon and Nodguj nations on the Ice Islands, Frost Guards seem to dismiss these conflicts and are willing to work with those from the opposite nation; the only conflict can be seen from the newly arrived recruits. This may be because the war on the Ice Islands is more of a personal conflict between the two leaders rather than between the nations as a whole, so the Frost Guards in Wynn province easily dismiss these conflicts without much issue.

I do admire Nemract’s stubbornness to keep standing despite all odds going against it. Ancient Nemract used to be a beautiful city and its fall will be mourned. Luckily I managed to “collect” artifacts and people to put them in my library to preserve its culture before its collapse. Modern Nemract now is just a husk of its former self, never truly recovered, maybe someday a soldier will manage to defeat that Keeper and allow Nemract to have a chance to heal.
