EXPOSURE: SW - due to it location stays shadier until later than other SW facing areas.
In the summer some parts hit sun around 11am but the some of the area and the ledge stays nicely shaded much of the day.
Off width, chimney, roof, hand crack, face climbing? Yes.
TR accessible anchors on top without climbing? Yes.
Access to most of the climbs in this area require a climb (5.6 Access Granted) or choose your adventure un-roped scramble to get to the main ledge from various places.
The ledge is a nice place to get some shade in the middle of the day when hot.
Route Details
(Dont forget the drop down)
Starts around the corner from Access Granted.
Starts in an obvious hand crack in a shallow left facing corner. Climb this to the ledge where the crack widens to fists off-width.
Amazing roof feature that has its grade brought down to earth with good edges on either face. Turning the roof is the crux. Plug a couple good pieces before the lip and get after it!
Might consider back cleaning your first piece or 2 to help with rope drag if you put gear deep in the back to start.
Nate Bolted the top, Mr. Rogers bolted the bottom.
Crux is getting off the block and getting onto the face. No send of this as of yet (June 24') and is an open FA.
Climb the bolted chimney.
Trickier than it looks.
