What kind of anchors are at Silver Eagle? (All hard goods are stainless steel at this crag. Hurray!)
You'll find few types of anchors here:
Equipped, Rap anchor, 2 bolt anchor.
If the climb notes say Equipped, mostly they are lower off anchors that are in vertical orientation that have a lower captive eye carabiner and an upper rams horn. Clipping beta is to clip the 'biner first then thread the horns, although it does not really matter. There are 1 or 2 climbs that have Mussy hooks instead of the horns n' biner. Both of these types of anchors are considered "open".
All of the equipped anchors you can feel free to TR through!
No, it is not the norm to allow this, but we feel the cost of replacement of the consumable parts of the anchor is quite worth the safety and convenience.
Nothing but respect for "doing it right"....TRing off your own gear is the sport wide best practice.
If the climb notes a Rap anchor, it means it will be a 2 bolt anchor with quick links or rap rings to facilitate easy rappelling. This is considered a "closed" anchor.
If the climb notes 2 bolt anchor, it means there is just 2 bolts with not extra goodies. Just hangers, or if a glue in, just the eyes of the bolts.

Practice threading Horns N' Biner style anchor!
There is a practice anchor just off the right hand side of the trail about 10 meters before the trail T's after some stone steps.
