At Wurkify, our goal is to provide a fair, transparent, and reliable system for both event organizers and student gig workers. This policy outlines how refunds and cancellations are handled to ensure accountability, protect both parties, and maintain trust in the platform.
By using Wurkify, all users (organizers and workers) agree to follow the terms below.
Refunds may be granted only under specific conditions.
Organizer-Initiated Cancellation:
If an organizer cancels before a worker has accepted the task, they are eligible for a 100% refund.
If an organizer cancels after worker acceptance but before the shift begins, only a partial refund may be issued (after deducting cancellation fees).
Worker No-Show / Absenteeism:
If the assigned worker does not arrive for the shift and no replacement is provided by Wurkify, the organizer will receive a full refund.
If the worker arrives late or leaves early without approval, the organizer may request a partial refund, based on the time not worked.
Service Not Delivered:
If the worker is verified (through supervisor or system checks) as failing to perform the assigned duties, Wurkify may issue a full or partial refund to the organizer.
Platform Errors:
In rare cases where Wurkify’s system error results in double bookings, payment issues, or failed task allocation, refunds will be processed in full.
Before Worker Acceptance:
If the organizer cancels before any worker has accepted the job, a 100% refund is issued automatically.
After Worker Acceptance but Before Shift Start:
If canceled 24+ hours before shift start, the organizer will receive a full refund minus a small admin fee (to cover payment processing and worker inconvenience).
If canceled less than 24 hours before shift start, the organizer will receive a partial refund (typically 50–70%), with the remaining amount allocated to the worker as a cancellation fee.
After Shift Start:
No refund will be provided once a shift has started, except in cases where the worker fails to show up or is proven negligent.
Before Confirming Availability:
Workers may decline shifts before accepting without penalty.
After Confirmation but Before Shift Start:
If a worker cancels 24+ hours in advance, no penalty will be applied.
If canceled less than 24 hours before the shift, this will negatively affect the worker’s rating and may lead to temporary suspension.
Last-Minute Cancellations / No-Shows:
Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations may result in:
Loss of platform privileges,
Lower priority in job matching, or
Permanent account suspension.
The organizer will be refunded or assigned a replacement worker wherever possible.
Once approved, refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method (UPI, card, or wallet).
Organizers will receive a refund confirmation email/app notification with details.
For cases where a replacement worker is arranged and accepted by the organizer, no refund will be processed.
If part of the payment is deducted as a cancellation fee, the breakdown will be visible in the payment invoice.
Refunds will not be issued in the following situations:
Post-Shift Completion:
If a shift is completed and verified, refunds cannot be requested unless there is proven fraud.
Subjective Dissatisfaction:
Refunds will not be provided for personal preferences (e.g., organizer expected a different personality, but worker fulfilled all assigned duties).
Incorrect Job Details by Organizer:
If the organizer provides the wrong event details (e.g., incorrect location, time, or instructions), refunds are not applicable.
Minor Issues:
Delays of less than 15 minutes, minor misunderstandings, or small errors that do not affect overall event performance will not be eligible for refunds.
Off-Platform Deals:
Any transaction or cancellation made outside Wurkify’s platform will not be protected or refunded.
Force Majeure (Uncontrollable Events):
Cancellations due to natural disasters, strikes, government restrictions, or other uncontrollable events may qualify for partial refunds or credits, based on Wurkify’s discretion.
Fraudulent Activity:
If either party is found guilty of fraud (fake check-ins, false attendance, or scam job postings), Wurkify may deny refunds and permanently suspend accounts.
If a user disagrees with a refund or cancellation outcome, they may raise a dispute through the app within 48 hours of the event’s end.
Wurkify’s support team will review evidence (attendance logs, chat records, supervisor verification) before making a final decision.
All decisions made by Wurkify after investigation will be considered final and binding.
>WURKIFY SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED believes in helping its customers as far as possible, and has therefore a liberal cancellation policy. Under this policy:
Cancellations will be considered only if the request is made within 1-2 days of placing the order. However, the cancellation request may not be entertained if the orders have been communicated to the vendors/merchants and they have initiated the process of shipping them.
WURKIFY SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED does not accept cancellation requests for perishable items like flowers, eatables etc. However, refund/replacement can be made if the customer establishes that the quality of product delivered is not good.
In case of receipt of damaged or defective items please report the same to our Customer Service team. The request will, however, be entertained once the merchant has checked and determined the same at his own end. This should be reported within 1-2 days of receipt of the products.
In case you feel that the product received is not as shown on the site or as per your expectations, you must bring it to the notice of our customer service within 1-2 days of receiving the product. The Customer Service Team after looking into your complaint will take an appropriate decision.
In case of complaints regarding products that come with a warranty from manufacturers, please refer the issue to them.
In case of any Refunds approved by the WURKIFY SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED, it’ll take 3-5 days for the refund to be processed to the end customer.
