At Wurkify, our mission is to create a safe, transparent, and empowering ecosystem where event organizers and student gig workers can connect seamlessly. These Community Guidelines outline the rules, responsibilities, and expectations for everyone on our platform.
By using Wurkify, you agree to uphold these principles to ensure that the community remains trustworthy, respectful, and professional.
Zero Tolerance Policy:
Harassment, abuse, offensive language, discrimination (based on gender, religion, caste, race, disability, or sexual orientation), or any disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
This includes all communications on the platform (messages, chats) as well as in-person interactions during events.
Professional Conduct:
Workers must arrive on time, maintain discipline, follow event instructions, and treat organizers, supervisors, and guests respectfully.
Organizers must ensure fair treatment, avoid verbal/physical abuse, and provide workers with a safe, non-hostile work environment.
Conflict Resolution:
Disagreements should be handled respectfully.
If disputes arise, users should use the in-app reporting system. Wurkify will investigate and take necessary action.
Authentic Job Postings (For Organizers):
Postings must clearly specify the job role, timings, location, pay rate, payout method, dress code (if any), and responsibilities.
Fake or misleading postings are strictly prohibited.
Prohibited Job Types:
Jobs involving the following are not allowed:
Illegal activities or events violating Indian law.
Hazardous or unsafe working conditions.
Jobs unrelated to event staffing (e.g., personal errands, adult content).
Misleading “free work” disguised as experience opportunities.
Appropriate Use of Platform:
Workers must not apply for jobs they cannot attend.
Organizers must not demand unpaid trials or additional tasks beyond the agreed scope.
Fair Treatment & Respect:
Treat all workers with dignity and respect regardless of their background.
Ensure a safe and inclusive work environment.
Payments:
Organizers must release payments either through Wurkify’s Instant Payout system (immediately after shift verification) or via a Time-Defined Payout schedule agreed upon before the shift.
Any time-defined payout must be transparent, reasonable, and clearly communicated to workers in advance (e.g., “Payment will be released within 3 working days”).
Deductions (e.g., for lateness or incomplete work) must be fair, justified, and disclosed upfront in the job posting.
Safe Work Conditions:
Provide a secure workplace, with proper arrangements for safety, breaks, and basic needs (drinking water, restroom access, etc.).
Avoid overworking workers beyond agreed hours.
Accurate Verification:
Attendance must be recorded honestly using Wurkify’s tools (GPS/QR/Selfie).
False reporting to avoid payouts will lead to penalties.
Compliance with Law:
Organizers are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws, wage laws, and local regulations when hiring through Wurkify.
Punctuality & Reliability:
Workers must arrive on time and complete the shift responsibly.
Repeated lateness or no-shows may lead to reduced ratings, suspension, or removal from the platform.
Honest Check-Ins:
Workers must use GPS/QR/Selfie check-ins truthfully.
Fake or manipulated attendance will result in immediate suspension.
Professionalism on Duty:
Dress appropriately as per job requirements.
Maintain polite communication with organizers, supervisors, and guests.
Avoid alcohol, drugs, or inappropriate behavior while on duty.
Cancellations:
Workers should avoid last-minute cancellations.
Frequent cancellations without valid reasons can lead to lower ratings or suspension.
Platform Integrity:
Workers must not bypass Wurkify by directly contacting organizers to avoid platform commission.
Such behavior will result in permanent suspension.
Ratings & Reviews:
Both organizers and workers must provide fair and honest feedback after every shift.
Fake reviews, manipulation, or retaliation through ratings is not allowed.
No Misrepresentation:
Workers must not falsify skills, qualifications, or identity.
Organizers must not misrepresent job details or understate workload.
Verification & Security:
Wurkify may conduct ID verification and background checks to maintain trust.
Any falsified documents or impersonation will result in permanent removal.
Safe Workspaces:
Organizers must ensure that venues are safe, legal, and suitable for young workers.
Any job involving unsafe conditions should be reported immediately.
Emergency Protocol:
Workers should report accidents, harassment, or unsafe conditions to Wurkify support.
Wurkify may suspend or blacklist organizers involved in unsafe practices.
Respecting Boundaries:
Organizers must not ask workers for personal favors, off-app contact for unrelated jobs, or inappropriate tasks.
Violations of these guidelines may lead to the following actions by Wurkify:
First-time Violation: Warning and education.
Repeated Violations: Temporary suspension from the platform.
Severe Misconduct (fraud, harassment, unsafe jobs, bypassing payments): Permanent ban and potential reporting to legal authorities.
Wurkify reserves the right to suspend or ban any account if community trust and safety are at risk.
Wurkify investigates all reported cases fairly and confidentially.
Both workers and organizers will be given a chance to explain before final action.
Decisions will be made in the interest of community safety and trust.
