Job Title: Business Operations Manager
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Position Type: Full Time or Part Time with adjusted Responsbilities
Ensure business operations and financial accounting meet regulations, support organizational strategic objectives, and glorify God.
Establish policies for all financial matters from receipts to disbursements • Monthly reconciliation of finances between accounting system and financial accounts
Quarterly review and reporting to Senior Pastor, Board of Directors, and Financial Lender.
Bi-annual review and reporting to congregation.
Annual financial statements and working papers prepared in advance of audit • Satisfactory letter received from auditor annually and shared with Board of Directors
Annual Budget complete by February of each year
Cash flow monitored to ensure obligations are met
Review of capital expenditures and classification
Provide and assist with monthly budget reports to Executive staff for variance analysis
Depreciation calculation and analysis
Coordinate policy development
Assist staff with hiring, evaluation, and termination
Evaluate training tools and opportunities for staff
Process payroll monthly
Submit quarterly and annual reports for payroll taxes to state and federal agencies on time
Review all operational contracts
Manage contracts for compliance
Manage Impact Pointe Cemetery
Bookstore oversight
Impact Pointe oversight
Co-working space oversight
Fitness Center oversight
Member of Executive Team
Assist in strategic goal setting
Execute vision of Senior Pastor
Support other Divisional Directors in operational execution
Special projects as assigned
Minimum 4-year Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Accounting, Finance or Operations
5 years financial management experience, preferably with a church or a non profit
Knowledge of financial reports and accounting practices required
Competent in use of Microsoft Office software
Excellent interpersonal, organization, and team-building skills
Initiative, drive
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and leadership skills
Experience using church management or database software is an asset
Job is performed in an office.
Workdays are Sunday – Thursday.
Sunday hours vary by activity but typically 7:30 am -12:00 pm.
Monday – Thursday are typical office hours 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Office job. Most of time will be spent sitting at a desk.
