Formal Meetings

Meetings are currently held on the first Friday of the month at 1pm.

Paper Bag Lunches

A weekly meet and eat to socialize with our fellow physicists and discuss personal successes and/or issues in an open forum, creating an environment where younger students have the opportunity to connect with older students to ask for advice or guidance.

Colloquium

The department is planning to hire two new faculty members to start in Fall 2020, one in astrophysics/astronomy and one in theoretical quantum physics. Due to this, PhIS is not projected to be able to invite a colloquium speaker until Fall 2020. Planning and nominations for potential speakers will take place in the Spring 2020 semester.
