⮞ How many characters can I have?

You can have unlimited characters as long as you can handle them! However, you start with one character and can buy more character slots later on. 

⮞ Can I create NPCs for personal stories?

NPCs/Companions/Summons for your personal stories are allowed but won't count for currency when drawn (only when used in writings and normal RPs). It's recommended to officialize NPC(s) you believe will play an important role to playable characters or in general NPCs you'll use a lot.

Important: Unofficial NPC(s)/companions/summons will earn you shards for normal writing/RPs only when a playable character is included. On their own, they will not earn you anything (unless they are official). Summons don't require you to buy an NPC slot but they still need to be approved by giving them a drawn visual (same as a companion after buying them) otherwise they are unofficial and follow unofficial rules.

⮞ How do I approve NPCs/New characters/Companions/Summons?

In the #app-approval channel on discord. New characters require a link to the app. NPCs don't need an app, it's optional. Companions and Summons are required to be on the companion template. 

⮞ Can I use NPCs/Companions/Summons in events?

Only if they are official. Official NPCs (excluding companions & summons) can earn event currency (if there is any) and count towards normal currency (drawn/written/RP). They will not, however, earn the event quest bonus to keep it fair to playable characters. 

⮞ I want to turn an NPC into a playable character

If you wish to turn an NPC into a playable OC you will have to buy a character slot in it's full price (10k shards) and send the OC again for approval in #app-approval

⮞ Can I give my OC *insert trait* ?

If it's not stated in the "other visuals " section in the biology page , you are free to ask if you can give them a trait your had in mind. 

⮞ Can I give my character mismatched fluff shapes?

yes

⮞ Can my character have a broken adorn?

Yes, but not completely gone. A part of it can be missing. There needs to be a reason on why it's missing. 

⮞ Can I create my own village/town/city for my OC to hail from?

Yes, that is allowed. As long as it doesn't break worldbuilding and the place isn't outside of the 6 regions you are good to go.

⮞ What about disabilities ? Do they have them?

Dreamfluffs have species related disabilities that can be found in their biology.

⮞ Can I give my OC a limp leg/arm or a missing part/sense that is not visible?

Yes you can! Anything can count for missing part/sense it's just more common to have something that is physically visible like a missing arm. You can give them bad eyesight and it would still count. Just keep in mind missing parts/sense should be things that do not cause the fluff physical pain ( physical pain is considered a species disability. It can be found in biology) 

⮞ What about sexualities and different genders? Is that at thing?

Yes they are, they are just not a big deal. Canonically in their language since it's not gendered they wouldn't have exact names (or even at all) for the sexualities/genders but we are doing this in English so go ham lol

⮞ Do fluffs discriminate?

Fluff do not discriminate against skin colour, gender,body shape etc so you cannot use such themes in your story. However, fluffs do discriminate against a fluff's nature which in most cases is towards nightmerfluffs. Majority of fluffs do not care about your nature but there are places where people could be mean to you if you happen to be a nightmare.  It's not uncommon for dream types to be discriminated if they are in places mostly populated by nightmerfluffs but nightmerfluffs tend to be more chill because they know what it feels like being discriminated. Overall its up to you and what you want for your story, you can even ignore this!

⮞ Is there anything I should avoid?

Avoid giving your character outfits such as belly dance outfits as that is orientalist, racist stereotypes, dekudogs, using concepts such as w*ndigo or skin walkers , dream catchers, sexualize nuns or school girl uniforms (getting inspiration by nun and school uniforms is fine) . More stuff might be added as we go and learn but these should be important to avoid for now. Feel free to point out anything that needs to be said!

⮞ Are there any species quirks I should know? 

Fluffs as a species tend to name things literally or make basic names from things they like. This means weird sounding names are pretty common like for example Redberry or Peekaboo. However you can use pretty much any name, I just wanted people to know about this ; )

⮞ Can I make my character be a Knight in training or a Worshipper in Lunellia temple?

That is allowed! As long as starter characters aren't already in a high ranking positions you are good to go. But feel free to ask if you aren't sure about something!

⮞ Can art bases be used?

Bases are allowed to be used if they are your own, but should not be relied on too much. For more information on how base art is counted, go to earning currency page.
