RILEY AGUIRRE: I am a recent high school graduate who is currently attending Santa Ana College. I am deeply interested in literature that displays wit along with thought-provoking themes. I've maintained high grades in school and hope to publish a few books during my later years.
LUCY GEYER: I am a sophomore at San Clemente High School. I love all types of art, but especially music. I enjoy playing all types of instruments and singing with my friends in choir and drama, and I love expressing joy through words and song!
SUSAN HECHT: Susan teaches through the Saddleback College’s Emeritus Institute. Her poems and fiction have been published in literary magazines such as Calyx, Sou-Wester and Hawai’i Review. The 2024 Altadena Poetry Review nominated one of her poems for a Pushcart Prize.
HOLLY VICENTE ROBAINA is a has been a Saddleback Emeritus student since 2000. She holds a B.A. in Literature and Government from Claremont McKenna College and an M.A. in Christian Apologetics from Biola University. Holly enjoys writing reflectively about spirituality.
ANNIE RODRIGUEZ writes personal narratives, drawing inspiration from the small nuanced tenderness and chaos everyday life brings, capturing the whimsy through the lens of relationships and coming-of-age awkwardness. When she’s not writing, you can find her at a bakery on the hunt for a fresh carb, experimenting in the kitchen, or taking a stroll through a farmer’s market.
