Spencer Robins teaches composition and literature classes at Saddleback College. His classes guide students in projects of self-reflection, challenging conversation, and hands-on research. Recently, he designed a new class on “Science Fiction and Society” which will be offered for the first time in Fall 2025. He previously taught at UCLA, where he earned his PhD studying the relationship between literature and the natural world. He has published research papers on narratives of large-scale environmental change, the literary representation of global supply chains, and the digital lives of urban coyotes.
