Jennifer Hedgecock has been an instructor at Saddleback College since 2003, and currently teaches composition, literature, and film. Previously Dr. Hedgecock taught at the University of California, Irvine. She received her Ph.D. from Michigan State University, and studied at Oxford University, Trinity College while conducting research on the literary work of Thomas Hardy. In 2008, Cambria Press published her book The Femme Fatale in Victorian Literature which concentrates on the economic and social conditions of women in nineteenth century England. Her publications in anthologies include “William Blake and the Road to Hell: The Cultural Iconoclasm of the Hells Angels” and “The Black Leather Motorcycle Queen.” Having lived abroad in Thetford, England, and studying under the tutelage of Professor Christopher Ricks at University of Oxford, Dr. Hedgecock looks forward to introducing her students to the cultural experience of Oxford. Her recent publication is The Cultural Reflections of Medusa: The Shadow in the Glass, Routledge 2019.
