Wes Geer is a guitarist, speaker, and author of Rock to Recovery: Music as a Catalyst for Human Transformation (co-authored with Constance Scharff, PhD). A founding member of (hed) P.E. and former touring guitarist for Korn, Wes spent years on stages from Ozzfest to Milton Keynes performing for crowds of 80,000 — while privately battling mental health challenges that were destroying his career and his life.
Finding lasting recovery and transformation in 2007, he is the founder of Rock to Recovery®, a music-based therapeutic program that has facilitated more than 45,000 original songs with people in treatment, veterans, and active-duty service members under a 10-year contract with the U.S. Department of Defense, serving Air Force Wounded Warriors and treatment centers nationwide. As co-founder of the tech company BandJAM, Wes’ musical mission delivers over 600 sessions every month — and continues to expand into corporate wellness and elder care.
Wes writes and speaks about the unexpected role creative expression — songwriting, storytelling, journaling — plays in healing trauma, rebuilding identity, and helping people find their voice after their lowest moments. He lives in Southern California.
