Special Person/Un Día en la Vida De/Estrella del día - Have a student be the star for the day, ask them many questions depending on the vocabulary you want to work on, others can listen to student responses and take notes in either language. At the end, there can be a short quiz over what the person said or ask the other students to write down 5-8 things they learned about this student during the question/answer session.
Listening
Tres veces - Teacher will read a passage three times. The first time, students listen for comprehension, the second time they write the passage and the third time they check for errors. Find the Difference - Teacher provides students with an image. Students study the image. Teacher then describes a similar image in the target language with some differences between what they hear and what they see.
Writing
Summarize a movie - As a class, write a summary of a popular television show, a movie, etc. that is interesting to the students. Students can then take the summary home and read it out loud to a parent/guardian as practice. They can also translate it back to English on paper below the Spanish summary. Timed Writing Correction - After students complete a timed writing, take one students' and provide a copy to the class. Do not share the name of the student and then as a class, correct it to put emphasis on grammar, spelling, etc. Other
Make a connection - Look at two words and make a connection (mal/malice mano/manipulate pie/pediatric con/conversation).
