Thank you to all of the volunteers who give their time and energy to make Special Olympics Massachusetts events a success. We couldn’t do it without you! On behalf of Special Olympics athletes, thank you for creating an inclusive and supportive community for all!
- All volunteers must be registered before their assistance can be accepted.
- Registered volunteers will receive an event confirmation email the week of the event.
- All volunteers 16 years of age or younger must be accompanied by a parent or adult chaperone.
- Registered volunteers will receive a volunteer t-shirt and community service letters will be available at the volunteer registration table.
Below are the 3 weekends of Winter Season Final state tournaments:
Juniors & Player Development Basketball on Sunday, 3/1 in Southborough
- Fay School
- St Marks School
Medical and photographer volunteer positions are currently available. Email Volunteer@specialolympicsma.org for more information.
Winter Games on Saturday, 3/7 and Sunday, 3/8 in the greater Worcester area
- Shifts vary based on specific sports and venues. Most shifts start at 8:15am and end by 4:00pm.
- Lunch will be provided for volunteers on this day due to the longer shift times.

Alpine Skiing on Saturday 3/14, and Sunday 3/15, at Berkshire East Mountain
- Volunteer shifts are 8:30am-2:30pm on both days.
- Positions are available "on snow" to volunteer along the course on the mountain. Ski and/or snowboard experience and equipment are required. We will provide the lift ticket.
- Additional positions are available "off snow" which will help at the base of the mountain and do not require ski/snowboard experience.
