The 2020 Alpine Skiing State Games has been canceled at the recommendation of Special Olympics International due to the coronavirus situation:
Official Statement
- Category 1 (Developmental): 10M, Glide, Super Glide
- Category 2 (Novice, Intermediate, Advanced): Super G, Giant Slalom, Slalom,
- Athletes may only participate in one of the above categories
- Categories may not overlap
- Athletes may participate in all 3 events within their category
- Schedule is subject to change
- 7:30 am Athletes arrive at Mountain, meet volunteer escorts, and get acclimated to mountain trails & facilities
- 8:45 am Competition schedule reviewed at an all coaches meeting
- 9:30 am Opening Ceremonies
- 10:00 am Athlete staging for morning races begins in the main lodge upstairs
Course Inspection
- 11:00 am Competition begins
- Giant Slalom Time Trials (2 runs)
- 10 M walk (Developmental)
- 12:30 pm Break
- 1:00 pm Athlete staging for afternoon races begins
Course Inspection
- 2:00 pm Competition resumes
- Giant Slalom (2 runs)
- Glide (Developmental)
- Super Glide (Developmental)
- 3:30 pm Competition ends
- 7:30 am Athletes arrive at Mountain, meet volunteer escorts, and get acclimated to mountain trails & facilities
- 8:45 am Competition schedule reviewed at an all coaches meeting
- 9:00 am Athlete staging for morning races begins in the main lodge upstairs
