Assessment & Data Analysis

Organizations can leverage assessments and data analysis to customize strategies according to their unique needs and goals. Both qualitative and quantitative assessments play a pivotal role in informed hiring decisions, providing objective performance measures, guiding company-wide initiatives, and ensuring workplace interventions are effective by targeting specific needs. My I-O degree provides me with the skills to conduct needs assessments at the organizational, team, and individual levels, perform statistical analyses, assess the validity and reliability of assessment measures, evaluate the impact of interventions, translate results into actionable strategies, and effectively communicate scientific insights in lay-friendly terms.

CHATT Foundation Org Assessment

Consulting Engagement: Organizational Functioning Assessment

As our capstone project in Organizational Development, our team performed an organizational functioning assessment for a non-profit organization in the Chattanooga area. Throughout the assessment process, we collected our data through an organization-wide survey, individual interviews, observations, and pre-existing data/information. We used Weisbord's Six Box Model to guide our data collection and analysis to gain a more comprehensive view of the organization as a whole. Based on our findings, we presented 5 high-impact, actionable, evidence-based recommendations designed to improve overall organizational functioning and support long-term success.

Work Experience: Assessment, Data Analysis, and Reporting

As a Graduate Assistant, I managed all assessment efforts for UTC Housing and Residence Life. This involved a wide variety of assessments including training effectiveness evaluations, professional and student staff performance appraisals, resident satisfaction surveys, post-event surveys, and annual benchmarking assessment needs. All data was collected and used to inform future adjustments, needs, and strategies. Attached is an example of a report created from a primarily qualitative survey following the start of year move-in event.
