16.01 - Hapuakohe Walkway, wonderful soul searching walk amongst the natural bush scenary, mostly cool in the shade and enjoyed by 9 great folks. You all have been the motivator for me to continue, thanks. 8km.
30.01 Hapuakohe Walkway via Mangapiko Valley Road - Great walk all 7 of us had, nice and cool in the shade of indigenous forest, much clambering but totally do-able. Did not quite make the objective but it's about the fellowship.
07 Feb'21 - Glenfield/Bayview bush walk. 10 energetic walkers did a short 5km walk around the Waitemata harbour's edge and back to Dutton's for a shared lunch. Yumee! Cool in the shade, sun was quite hot. Thanks all.
20 Feb'21 - Hakarimata Northern bush walk . Just five of us on a 1500 step, 82 flight of stairs and 4km walk up to the summit ridge of Hakarimata. Took us 3 hours to complete, scenary great. Popped into Bruce McClaren museum afterwards to see what the great man had achieved.
20 Mar'21 - Omanawanui Track, Waitakeres. 8 great folks tackled this very steep incline to 241m track, two pinnacles and one trough. Solid 3 hours walking and 6km. Magnificent views, great weather, no wonder it is called the jewel of the Waitakeres.
03 Apr'21 - Puriri Ridge Track, Waitakeres. What was meant to be a short Easter Monday stroll along the top portion of the new Omanawanui Track turned out to be quite a slog. 12 folks attempted the walk and enjoyed th views which are amazing, weather was nice and cool. We had lunch in the Huia Domain and visited the Huia Museum which has great artifacts of the HMS Orpheus tragedy.
17 Apr'21 - Bation Point to St Helliers and back, 11 started the walk in pouring rain and finished in brilliant sunshine after walking to St Helliers and visiting an indoor market. Blustery at Bastion Point so not much of a picnic so decided to head home.

15 May'21 - Martha's Mine, Waihi, a two hour drive down to Waihi through Karangahake Gorge to walk around the 4km Martha's Mine. Showery day but we stayed dry. 9 folks, 7km. Headed off to Kate and Will's for tea and scones.
26 Jun'21 - Thames coastal walk and museum - only 7 of us, blustery and cloudy but dry, Thames has a great walk along the waterfront. Museum had some great atrifacts, very well stocked. 8km flat. Fish and chips afterward, yummy.
31 Jul'21 - Omaha/Point Wells coastal walk, good number 7 of us, 10km straight walking, not much dulation. Weather held out, just a brisk wind. Pointed out the pottery at Matakana and then off to the ice cream factory.
