25.01.2020 - Mount William: First Windsorpark Tramping for 2020 in 27C temperature, wonderful crowd of 10, lots of hill climb but what a view from Mount William. About 10km with tons of elevation.
15.02.2020 - Wairere Falls, Te Aroha. Windsor Park Tramping made the long journey down to Te Aroha to enjoy some of the Kaimai scenary and a swim in the hot pool afterwards. We managed to drag 5 school leavers with us to enjoy the pool which took the group grand total to 13. The fall walk was only 5km but the elevation was over 360m. Falls pretty empty, but the view from above magnificent. Lots of people attempting the climb, it felt more like downtown!
21.03.2020 - Rangitoto Island - Magnificent scenary so close to the city. Pretty quiet out there and in town. Some went by bus, some went by car into town. 16 able bodied folks came along for the march to the summit, amazing views and the lava tunnels are really spectacular. After yesterday's torrential rain a blessing indeed. I think we did a fine 10km walk in total.
18-04-2020 cancelled due to Corona-19
16-05-2020 Puhoi scenic walk - What a day, post lockdown and everyone is out and about. Good timing. We did a respectful 8km up and down behind Puhoi, from Remmiger Road to Puhoi itself. Just burst the 10 limit by one, well I kept my distance by pretending no association...No cheese factory pitstop, all was still closed.
20-06-2020 - Hamilton river walk, after a 90 min ride to Delamare carpark, Hamilton, we walked upstream to the cbd. Weather slightly wet but all 10 of us really enjoyed the views and the river views. Had some lunch in the cbd and walked back the same way, 11.5km in total. Thanks all, great company.
18-07-2020 Te Atatu peninsula, started off later than usual due to the rain but finally headed out at 1pm. Just under double digit attendancy but a solid 9km around the whole peninsula. Well done to those that came and had some fun and fresh air.
15-08-2020 - Onehanga to One Tree Hill, cancelled.
19.09.2020 - Leamington to Karapira Lake. WPBC Tramping had a brilliant day out in the Waikato, Cambridge to Karapira to be precise. 10 folks traversed this flat walk of 10km to the dam wall and back in cloudy, cold conditions. Not many cyclists on this route which was a relief. Some of the sights were the newborn calves, the spillway and beautiful stallions on the farms.
17.10.2020 - Mangawhara stream walk and Hamilton Botanical Gerdens. WPBC Tramping were off to Waikato to walk the newly created Manawara stream and check out the displays at Hamilton Botanical Gardens. Really great displays at the gardens and the new stream walk has lots of potential for the future. Great to be outside today after a chilly 1C in the Waikato. Thanks to all that made it a special day.
19.11.2020 - Kauaeranga Gorge short walks. Great day out in nature today enjoyed by 11 enthusiastic trampers. We walked 6 of the short walks throughout the Gorge, 21C and covered 8km. Thanks for making it special.
19.12.2020 - Mahurangi Reserve
