MY  DIGITAL  FOOTPRINT  FINDINGS

I have done several searches online about myself to see what information exist on the internet about me. There was only one social media account that I found and that was my facebook account. I also came across severals websites with scraps of information collected over the years leaving a digital footprint under my name, but these were all personal information. These information included private information such as past/ present address, phone number, emails and relatives. I don't have much information about myself online, resulted from not being an overly active social media user. I am a private personal and for the most part my digital footprint displays that.

EVIDENCE

WHAT  HAVE I LEARNED

• Active digital footprint is information we share voluntarily online, like posting on social media.

• Our information is being collected and stored without our knowledge both personal and public.

• Information is collected automatically from web activity, and the system auto-generates similar interest.

• Not all data collected online are factual, which can create a false narrative.

• Even after deleting data off the web, sometimes it leaves a trial on additional websites.
