My earliest known ancestor among the Risner clan is Hans Michael Risner, who is supposed to have immigrated from the Netherlands to Kentucky.

Look closely at the birth dates of the first two Risner men in the chart on the left.
Hans Michael Risner (born 1707) as the father of Michael Risner - born 1790?
That gap is huge. I would expect at least one or possibly two more generations between those two men. I will look for them.
As I gather information about each generation of Risners I will add pages dedicated to them.
Another Risner descendant, Rob Whitaker, has determined that this is the headstone of Michael Risner 1790-1864. It is in the Meredith Risner Cemetery in Magoffin County, Kentucky.
His picture was uploaded to Find-A-Grave by Find-A-Grave member Sharon Risner on 10 June 2012. This is her statement about this headstone:
"Rob Whittaker found his marker and took it home and cleaned it up and with help will be placing it on Emichael's grave on June 22, 1912 [I think she means 2012]. Thank you Bob."
