These are the main family lines that I research. The top link of each names generally leads to the earliest family member on that line that I have currently researched. If there is another website with more information I will point you there rather than duplicate efforts.
I am Susan Dougherty, I live in Ohio, and I am fascinated by genealogy. I want to share more of my research because I know there are more people out there working on "my" family. I know it is our family.
I have posted some pictures on Ancestry.com, and within a few days most of them were downloaded by others. One person contacted me! I was thrilled (hello cousin!).
I inherited this interest from my grandmother, Florence Marie Dutton. The slide show above features a glass paperweight she treasured. It shows her parents and older brothers.
My great-grandmother Ellen Mary Hover started my genealogy projects. My oldest artifacts are items collected from relatives who knew she did 'family history'. Her daughter Florence continued her research and passed everything, including her passion for family history, on to me. There are pictures, letters, books, and artifacts. My earliest charts are in her mother's hand (Ella Hover), carefully copied from a family history book at a family reunion.
Together they bequeathed some wonderful items, which can be found in the 'Gallery' and 'Treasure Box', and left more than enough clues to get me started. I want to include everything in my collection and everything I find. A never-ending task, I know. I want the next person who needs this to have it, so our ancestors' stories will be told.
Florence Marie Dutton
