We will not give up demanding more responsive representation in Congress.
Half of our time was in the pouring rain, but our spirits were not dampened.
A gorgeous day on the overpass, sunny with a warm breeze. It was the first protest with a new boombox. One of the favorites in the playlist was Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Were Made for Walking." The lyrics could have been written this year for current events:
You keep sayin' you've got somethin' for me
Somethin' you call love but confess
You've been a'messin' where you shouldn't 've been a'messin'
And now someone else is getting all your best
Chorus: These boots are made for walkin'
And that's just what they'll do
One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you
You keep lyin' when you oughta be truthin'
And you keep losing when you oughta not bet
You keep samin' when you oughta be a'changin'
Now what's right is right but you ain't been right yet (Chorus)
You keep playin' where you shouldn't be playin'
And you keep thinkin' that you'll never get burnt (ha)
I just found me a brand new box of matches, yeah
And what he knows you ain't had time to learn (Chorus)
Are you ready, boots? Start walkin'

On a hot but windy spring day, 27 enthusiastic souls were greated by many likeminded drivers with waves and honks!
At the second protest at Old Fort 14 folks from across Penns Valley joined 7 of us with their passion and signs. The "tent" is big and all are welcome!
We did learn that all the land around the intersection of Rt 45 and 144 is owned by the American Legion and they asked we not park in the abandoned Snappy's lot, so we are making other arrangements for the future.
Spring weather in Centre County runs the gammit of temperatures and this one was windy and chilly! Winter coats on the 20 hardy protesters.
Finally a nice day to be out and there were 26 people looking for Glenn Thompson.
It was cold. It was windy. But that didn't stop about 2500 from gathering on Old Main Lawn to protest. Opportunities for Face Painting, Button Making, Photo Booth for Golden Toilet Throne pictures and costume and sign contests ringed the crowd. Power Belongs to the People was the big letter sign. There were speakers and chants then a march with chants and singing. Keystone Indivisible thanks everyone who came and all the volunteers. And a special shout out for everyone's patience when the sound board "blew up" and speakers had to use a bull horn.
We found another great location to protest! The bridge as you enter Phillipsburg, has a pedestrian walkway with concrete barrier. In addition, during evening rush hour, as the trucks come down off the mountain in law gear, traffic backs up behind them so drivers are going pretty slowly. Plus we can use both sides of the bridge!
In the middle of No Kings preparations, the faithful continue to remind passersby and Thompson that he hasn't been responsive to his constituents.
We enjoyed the hour at Old Fort. The wind and cold was a rude awakening after previous spring weather, but we've found a new place to use for protests.
It's raining, it's pouring but we are not snoring! We are out there demanding Citizens Bank stop providing financial services to GEO and CoreCivic who manage the ICE detention camps.
And just like that we were back in cold, windy weather, but nothing would stop us from standing with the survivors and demanding justice!
There was an early teaser of spring with pleasant weather to protest the lack of communication with our US Representative.
We gathered again at the North Atherton branch of Citizens Bank to educate and protest the funding of the camps. In the afternoon we demanded the End of the Ice Age.
The regime plays whack-a-mole but in less than 24 hours we were gathered to say "make love not war" and "honk for no war."
The Justice Singers gathered at the Allen Street Gates to join in the national event of resistance singing.
Did you know there is a couple from Dubois who drive to this protest? BTW it's been 3120 days since Thompson's last in-person town hall.
CITIZENS BANK: STOP FUNDING CRUELTY is a statewide effort to send a message to Citizens Bank and raise awareness in our communities about Citizen’s role in supporting for-profit detention operators.
Citizens Bank, through Citizens Financial Group, has long financed private prison operators like The GEO Group despite decades of abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Right here in PA, GEO runs the Moshannon Valley Processing Center, the largest ICE detention site in the Northeast. Join Indivisibles across Pennsylvania to shine a light on the Moshannon Valley Processing Center and to demand that Citizens Bank stop funding cruelty.
3113 days since someone's last in-person townhall... and new sign for our protests.
The Coward from Howard hasn't held an in-person town hall since August 10, 2017. From now on we will be reminding people how many days that has been.

It was COOOOLD! Snow was on the Overpass and sidewalks but 60 people braved the conditions to express our repulsion of the ICE actions.
Not so cold this week, but some new folks turned out! Lots of positive response!
With frigid temperatures and wind gusts of 16-35 mph, 80 folks gathered with signs, flags, bells, whistles and drums to remember the tragedy in Minnesota this past week, ICE killing of Renee Nicole Good, an ICE observer. Protesters were determined to stand with Minnesotans against the violence of ICE.
More than 200 gathered at the Allen Street gates for a vigil in memory of Renee Nicole Good cilled by ICE this past week. Speakers, signs and song spoke to the tragedy and called people to action and to not give up.
A sacred day remembering the Insurrection at the Capital 5 years ago. But still we look for our representative to listen and respond.
