Western Region PTA is one of the geographic regions within the New York State PTA. We support local PTA units across Western New York by providing training, resources, advocacy support, and leadership development opportunities.

Anyone who supports the mission of PTA—parents, teachers, school staff, grandparents, community members, students, and more—is welcome to join! Membership is open to all and helps strengthen the connection between home, school, and community.

Membership alone makes a difference! Your support helps fund programs, gives PTA a stronger voice in advocacy, and shows that you care about your school community. There’s no time commitment required to be a member.

Local PTAs serve individual schools, while Western Region PTA supports these local units by offering training, helping with compliance and bylaws, organizing events, and sharing important updates from NYS PTA. We’re here to help your unit thrive.

Not at all! PTA serves students at every level—elementary, middle, and high school. The programs, advocacy, and resources are designed to grow with students and meet the needs of families at all stages.

Reflections is a national arts recognition program that invites students to express themselves through the arts. Each year has a new theme, and students may submit work in categories such as visual arts, photography, music composition, literature, dance, and film. Participation begins at the school level and can advance to the region, state, and national levels.

Yes! Western Region PTA offers student leadership awards, and many local units offer scholarships to graduating seniors. We also recognize outstanding volunteers, educators, and advocates through regional and state awards.
