Western Region PTA (Region 19) is one of 12 regions within the New York State PTA, covering Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Erie (with the exception of the City of Tonawanda and Grand Island), Genesee, and Wyoming Counties.
Western Region PTA services 3 councils and 80 units.
The Region's elected officers, associate directors, and chair people are available to assist units and councils.
Our members consist of parents, students, teachers, administrators, school board members, and anyone who is concerned about the welfare of all children.
Membership is represented by voting delegates to the annual meeting (Spring Conference).
Interpret and communicate National and New York State PTA policies, initiatives, and updates to local units and councils.
Provide hands-on support through experienced region leaders who assist with leadership transitions, problem-solving, membership growth, and effective programming.
Offer leadership training through workshops, conferences, and webinars designed to build confidence, skills, and capacity among PTA volunteers.
Help form new units or councils and support their growth through the chartering process and beyond.
Support collaboration between councils and their member units to help strengthen school-family partnerships and build inclusive, active PTAs.
Ensure member representation through voting delegates who attend our Annual Spring Conference, helping shape regional priorities and elect future leaders.
