Hello, Wednesday!

Today is all about anxiety and how to manage it. Anxiety is a normal and often healthy emotion, and can stimulate you to reach your goals. However, it can also lead to restlessness and worry.

Join us today in learning more about anxiety and the best ways for us to manage it in our increasingly busy lives.

Anxiety

Steve Chassman, LCSW, CASAC, Executive Director of the Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (LICADD), discusses anxiety and the importance of understanding and managing it.

Mr. Chassman has served as a clinician and healthcare advocate for individuals and families with mental health and substance use issues since he completed his Master of Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania in 1995.

Thank you for being part of Wellness Week, Mr. Chassman!

Join Cat Juliano, LMSW, for a discussion on breathing and how it can aid in managing stress and anxiety.

A lifelong resident of Northport, Cat is a Northport High School alumna who received her BS from SUNY New Paltz and her LMSW from Stony Brook’s School of Social Welfare. She began working with adolescents in 2014 at Outreach House I, a substance abuse treatment facility where she taught yoga and meditation for recovery and relapse prevention. In 2017, Cat was hired to develop the NPT-ENPT Community Drug & Alcohol Task Force's first-ever youth coalition (1LIFE). Cat recently left the Northport VA after nearly two years and became the full-time Project Coordinator for DATF.
