Coordinator's Role

The importance of Women's Coordinators

The Women Coordinators in the National Bridge Organizations (NBO) serve as the EBL's Women's Bridge Committee Ambassadors, who assist in:

The coordinators are also the Committee's executive arm, who have direct contact with the NBO's Management and can relay the EBL's messages concerning Women's Bridge directly to the decision makers.

The coordinators will work towards convincing the NBO to invest more in this field especially in promoting young girl players from an early age, with emphasis on breaking down barriers, the benefits of playing sport, the social aspects, the mental and physical good health of female players.

It is vital for each federation to appoint a Women's coordinator, who will on the one hand, be the contact for any issue, whilst on the other hand will work with the federation to encourage and- increase female player's participation in the federation's activities and directing women towards international activities and achievements.

What we want to achieve?

1. Equal policy, regulations and opportunities to both men and women in all aspects of competitions, conditions, media coverage etc.

2. Prevention of "Prohibited and Inappropriate Behavior".

3. Awareness towards fair dignified play.

4. Observe a clean and non-sexist language.

5. Maintain a safe place for women in Bridge competitions.

6. Promote women towards achievement and excellence.

7. Increase participation at the local, national and international competitive levels.

8. Integrate women's coordinators and work together to implement all of the above.
