The season will be 8 weeks long from March to June. Games will be Waterloo vs. Waterloo, with the possibility of games versus other organizations through MAYSA. Games will likely be on Saturdays and/or Sundays, with the possibility of a game during the week.
We might be paired with Sun Prairie’s soccer program. What that means for our team is that the players who would like to play more games can do so through both programs, Waterloo and Sun Prairie, in a non-league match.
Teams will be coed with the possibility of a boys and girls team if there are enough players to do so.
If a player cannot attend practice, they need to communicate with the coach as to the reason for the absence. If players do not attend practices, they will be sitting for the next game, unless it is excused.
If a player cannot attend a game, it will be treated as missing a practice and they will be sitting for the next game, unless it is excused by the coach.

9th-12th grade- Club Soccer
The cost is $120. Equipment to be provided by parents includes shorts or pants, soccer socks, and a size 5 soccer ball any color or design. Soccer cleats are highly recommended, but not required. With spring weather soccer cleats will provide traction where flat bottom shoes will not. Metal cleats like baseball or football cleats are not allowed.
Each player will receive home and away jerseys that will be turned in at the end of the season. They will also receive game shorts and socks that are the players to keep. The jerseys, shorts and socks will be worn at all games as we need to all look the same and uniform. Shoes can be whatever the player would like.
The WSC (Waterloo Soccer Club) is going to compete at the high school level. Formations, positions, team plays, and conditioning are going to be key.
There will be classroom and weight room practices as well as on the field practices.
*An example week would be as follows. There could be three practices, two on the field and one in the weight room with classroom work. A field practice could be two hours consisting of 1.5 hours of soccer drills and 30 minutes of conditioning. Weight room and classroom sessions could be 1.5-2 hours. One hour would be weight room workouts with the remaining time in the classroom increasing soccer knowledge, learning positions, plays, and formations.*
We are a club team that will be competing against high school teams through the MAYSA organization. There also might be the opportunity of a tournament. Date is to be determined.
We might be paired with Sun Prairie’s soccer program. What that means for our team is that the players who would like to play more games can do so through both programs, WSC and Sun Prairie, in non-league games.
The season will be 10 weeks long from early March to early July. Games will likely be on Saturdays and/or Sundays, with the possibility of a game during the week.

Traveling will be required. The players that can drive are encouraged to help get younger players to practices and games as long as they are in accordance with Wisconsin Driving Laws.
Our team will be coed with the possibility of a boys and girls team if there are enough players to do so.

Coach Description
Please conctact wysosoccer@gmail.com if interested in coaching.
Coaches are the leaders of the team. Teaching the players the game of soccer while having fun is our goal.
Coaches need to be available for their team for all practices and games. If they cannot be present, an assistant coach needs to be available. The kids build a bond with their coaches and look to them for guidance and we as coaches need to be available as much as possible for them.
When the team holds practice is up to the coach. Reschedules of both practices and games are also up to the coaches.
Coaches will need to communicate with the parents about upcoming practices, games, and any changes to either. Coaches also need to email the director at a minimum of once a month with a progress report. A sample report will be provided.
Conditioning and stretching is very important for soccer. All teams need to be doing some type of conditioning and stretching. It can be disguised as a game to keep it fun like knockout or world cup.
*If we do not get enough coaches for the teams, the teams will not be able to participate in practices or games.*
