Code of conduct

CODE OF CONDUCT AGREEMENT The following CODE OF CONDUCT AGREEMENT was created to emphasize the values, principles and beliefs of WYSO sports. The goal is to provide our players with an opportunity to compete at the highest level and provide instructional coaching in a team atmosphere. At all times we agree to and support:

  • Positive and exemplary sportsmanship

  • Safety and well being of players, coaches, referees, and spectators

  • First class representation of players, parents/families, coaches, umpires and spectators.

  • The understanding that participation with WYSO sports is a privilege

  • To always come prepared to all practices and games.

  • To attend scheduled practices which is important not only to the player, but to the team and coaches

  • Mutual respect, tolerance, understanding and caring in all team matters and towards all teammates. *Coaches decisions (whether we understand, like or agree with them!)

  • Emphasis on team spirit, team unity, team effort and team success

  • We win as a team and we lose as a team

  • Encouragement of everyone involved & help players, coaches, parents, family members, etc.

  • The reality is that some players may have more playing time, position/roles and starting assignments than others

  • Tactful, quiet, one-on-one discussions of any concerns, questions or ideas with coaches or directors

  • Acknowledgement that each of us is responsible for our own thoughts, feelings, attitudes, decisions and behaviors

  • Giving 100% of our attention, commitment and effort to our team, coaches and therefore to set team goals.


It shall be the obligation of all to comply with the terms and provisions of the Code of Conduct. Any player, parent or coach violating the Code shall be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of their privilege to play for WYSO sports.


We have read, have discussed and understand the Code of Conduct Agreement, and fully, unequivocally support this agreement.
