Waste and waste disposal

The things we throw away are called waste. The way we get rid of waste is called waste disposal or garbage disposal. There are positive and negative ways of disposing our waste.

When we badly dispose our waste, it gets into our environment and causes damages and makes our environment harmful or even unsafe for animals, plants, and humans. This is called pollution.

Hence, Pollution is the deposit of harmful materials into the environment. 

These harmful materials are called pollutants.

Pollutants can be natural such as volcanic or man-made such as factory runoffs.

Pollutants are poisonous and can cause harm or damage to the quality of our environment.

Waste management aims to prevent waste from leading to pollution. This means finding suitable ways to dispose our garbage.
