I am broadly interested in material cycles, environmental dynamics, and climate change from the past to the present, from the tropics to the poles, and from the catchment to the open ocean. I completed my Ph.D. on inorganic carbon dynamics in mangrove ecosystems in March 2024. I am currently employed as a postdoctoral researcher under the CREST research grant entitled 'Developing efficient analytical method of radiocarbon in water samples'; I am conducting research using radiocarbon isotopes (C-14) to identify the organic matter causing anaerobic water masses by targeting Lake Biwa, Japan.
過去から現代、熱帯域から極域、集水域から外洋域までの物質循環や環境動態、気候変動に幅広く関心を持っています。マングローブ水域における無機炭素動態に関する研究で博士号を取得しました。現在はCREST「微量高速C-14分析による水圏炭素動態解明手法の開発」の特任研究員として、放射性炭素同位体（C-14）を用いて、琵琶湖の貧酸素水塊の原因となる有機物を明らかにする研究を進めています。 （最終更新日：2025年8月13日）

April 29-May 13, 2025: Participated in the Shinsei Maru voyage (KS-25-4) to collect water samples for radiocarbon analysis in subtropical mode water.
April 23-25, 2025: Water samples were collected for radiocarbon analysis in the Sumiyo River mangrove forest on Amami Oshima Island.
