Reticulated Python
Reticulated Python
*This species is the largest native snake in Asia. In general, soaked pythons with a length of more than 6 m are relatively rare, but according to the Guinness Book of World Records, this is the only snake that still exists that often reaches that length. One of the longest specimens of scientific measurement, namely from Balikpapan, East Kalimantan , Indonesia, was measured under anesthesia at 6.95 m and weighed at 59 kg after three months without food. The color pattern is a complex geometric pattern that applies a variety of colors. The back usually has a chain of uneven diamond shapes, flanked by small brightly centered markings. Since this species is widely distributed, then of course there are many variations in terms of size, color and pattern. its skin pattern allows this snake to be seemingly invisible. This is called disruptive coloring that protects this snake from predators while helping it catch prey.
