I didn't realize the grip social media had on my brain. Personally, always thought I was never addicted, always telling myself I can quit whenever I want to, and that I don't need it. This semester really opened up my eyes to how addicted I am to my phone and social media. First time taking an in person class since high school, so I was unaware of the addition that was built over the years. Taking the addiction quiz was a blatant eye opener.
Over all I don't feel like social media is the problem. I believe it's the consumer's fault if they let it become an addiction.
Digital media focuses on combining things like text, audio, images, animation, and video to share information. Unlike traditional media such as newspapers, books, radio, and old-school TV. Digital media is created and shared electronically.Â
