some time has passed from post war
E1 has been sent to another world, they took a break from being a message transmitter and are now there for something mainly laid back in nature, but still having some fitting aspects of decision making or, they didnt really care about what job with who they gotta work with
E2 coincidentally has been sent there and will soon be a coworker of E1 out of all people because they requested someone unspeciffic to assist them, they ll even be something of a mentor due to the skill difference: doctor, while E1 would be a medical asisant, if E2 had decided in advance of who to work with: they wouldnt even have interacted, maybe seen each other in passing but never actually preciving the other
but E1, the wildcard, and E2 having an open slot, they automatically got paired up
to E1 s confusion uppon reciving the job info, even by just reading the first few words with "medical assistant" they were uttterly bewildered: "wait, since when is being a doctor->laid back??"
then they read the names and the brain cogs start tuning, the name sounds familiar, but not familiar enough
E2 goes to the place of where theyre supposed to be stationed at, only to see E1 stand in front of the room being incredibly lost
E2 drops everything they were holding, catching E1 s attention
both stare at each other in disbelieve
"...you" E2 runs at E1 who just barely dodges them, just to get faceplanted into the ground, due to the protection law: the offender would get injured, but that just loops back and forth, aka now both are getting beaten up equaly
E1 notices that and kicks E2 into the shin, its a lot easier zo deal with pain when you epect it after all
they break out into a full on fight with E1 even stabbing E2 with their clipboard
the organizers finally pull them appart, they gotta introduce them to the place and have a serious discussion about etiquette
the 2 got bandaged up and are now sitting on a couch in front of the administrative for this building
"it seems like you 2 already know each other ... ?"
neither of the 2 say somethign at first, E1 signs and is about to speak when E2 intorrupts them on purpose "yea, ... can i get a differnt asistant?"
E1 is offended but they agree "i wouldnt want to work with you anymore either" they dont fully mean it tho, if they could go back to being on good terms, E1 wouldnt mind them working together again
they start calling each other names again and are about to throw hands again "calm down you two, this isnt yuor free therapy session, if you cant cooperate: then get out of here"
E2 stands up "i think i will, apologies for wasting your time" they start to walk out
E1 jumps up and just barely manages to grab E2 s arm, worsening their injuries with the sudden movement
they utter "im sorry", while E2 hears it: "get away from me" they slap E1 s hand away
E2, now unintorupted walks out
