Hell's eloquent ruler, Lucifer has always been a big name in Hell. Ever since her fall from grace, she has been the prime demon, ruling over the pitiful wretched souls of Hell as the only fallen angel to have ever existed. The closest thing to her own species is The Librarian, but it still leaves her rather alienated as the only one. However, she does find comfort in the company of her right hand woman and close companion, Veronica.
She rules with both an iron grip and a pervasive, comprehensive eye over the torn landscapes and the drab hallways of Hell, often having the majority of her actions carried out by a group of hand-picked demons referred to as Reapers.
Lucifer can often be found hard at work in her office, either on a bottle of whiskey or a stack of documents, plans and pending issues that wait on her attention eagerly.
"I don't need to play god, I'm perfectly content being your nightmare."
Considered one of the most mysterious demons in all of Hell, The Librarian is an eldritch creature, one from long before the fall of Lucifer or even the origins of Hell itself. The Librarian goes by no other name, only going by her title like a mark, a brand that she wears, forever reminding her of her job. She is generally considered to be a mother of sorts to Lucifer, being the only guiding hand that the current ruler had ever experienced after her fall, and the only face that had ever been even vaguely kind. Some of the Reapers enjoy her company, few often visiting to read.
The Librarian has been, since the beginning, writing tirelessly. A small well of bloody ink sat on the edge of her desk, a worryingly large stack of empty books beside her, and an infinite, ever shifting library behind her. It appears that the library is somewhat a representation of her own memory, shifting to her will, which she uses to store book after book in neat rows on the shelves. Every single one hand written, detailing every event with any real significance, whether it be on Earth, in Heaven or in Hell. In her infinite omnipotence, it is assumed she can see time just as she can see the ink on her pages, but it's unsure, as she has yet to really reveal any secrets.
She's often too busy writing to answer.
"Please do hurry this up, I have penguins to write about."
If there was ever a woman that embodied the teasing winds that poke at the fires, it would be Veronica. Her tastes are dangerous and often exotic, life's sharp edge being her favorite place to dance. She bores easily, reveling in gore and tense action, leading to her quick rise in power, only ever meeting two demons that could match her. One of whom, happened to be the Queen of Hell. The monarch of fire herself, and the two fell into a lapse of fight after fight, both for dominance and for fun. Finally, somebody who didn't go down easy.
After eventually yielding to the unending fierceness of Lucifer and taking the role of right hand woman, Veronica became an incredibly effective enforcer of rule, delighting in crushing the hearts of those who dare stand up to her and her Queen.
She is often tied up here and there, but can always be found in Lucifer's office nearing the end of the day, or occasionally in Lucifer's private quarters behind her office.
"Aw. your life is so... Small and insignificant."
Cold as ice, Une is a peculiar woman. She prefers to work alone the majority of the time, has an incredibly potent RBF and is often overly courteous, to the point it almost seems as though she has no personality. Not true, of course, there's a prim lady beneath all the chilling gazes. Une has only ever really been fairly open among some of the Reapers, namely Doe and Quatte. She isn't very fond of anything that moves, though a few she holds dearly and would gladly eviscerate an indiscriminate amount of people to protect.
She is the second in command when it comes to the Reapers, the head being Veronica, who is then under Lucifer's watch. Une takes her job rather seriously, allowing very little to oppose Lucifer and the progression that she has brought about. She is not afraid to get her hands dirty, though prefers to not soil her suit.
Une is a busy woman, here and there like a bee, but is usually dealing with unsavory demons or covertly wandering Earth's darkest alleys, but when she's off duty, Une enjoys a good book and some wine in her quarters, often sharing the space with Quatte.
"Tsk. Don't get blood on my suit."
In stark contrast to most, if not all, demons of power, Doe is quite bad at being bad. She is arguably one of the sweetest demons one might ever meet, much preferring to largely avoid confrontation, despite having an incredibly dangerous side to her. Doe spends her days caring for the Reapers moral, as well as processing some matters that, while pressing, don't deserve the full attention of Lucifer. Often, she'll take a little extra, worried for the Queen and her extensive workload, despite Lucifer often chastising the Reaper for her efforts. She doesn't mind, she knows Lucifer takes the extra time to herself and Veronica.
Doe is somewhat of a secretary, somewhat of an assistant and definitely a friend, often inviting Reapers to take some time off to relax with her during their breaks. Soft spoken and equally soft mannered, Doe prefers to spend her time off reading, making tea and often times baking.
It's rare to find her anywhere but her office, in which she's created a rather pleasant little oasis, adorned with plenty of comfy things to sit on, a good assortment of hoodies and sweaters for her choosing the back, and a plush bedroom behind the office. If she's not there, she's probably wandering the halls of Hell, or in another Reaper's office.
"Please, please, come share some tea with me."
Finders, keepers. Nobody knows this better than Tri. Quite opportunistic, sticky fingered and suave, she is incredibly good at shaking your hand and walking away with all your personal belongings. She is rather friendly, even if a kleptomaniac by nature, and rather boyish, very quick to joke or make a lot of noise. She'll always get the job done, so what's wrong with having a little fun while you're at it?
Tri is often tasked with making things disappear, or making people turn up in puddles of blood. Good at making examples and making off with everything in people's pockets, Tri bounces between jobs, often in cohorts with Quatte, Seks or getting herself patched up with Quinn.
If she's not busy taking your watch and wallet or busting heads open on desks, Tri is probably having a beer with some of the other Reapers or practicing her sparring against dummies or unfortunate demons.
"Well well well, who left this little gift for me?"
Quatte, the most eccentric and often times dark Reaper, is nothing if not a performer, dancing around a deep pool of power she often refuses to draw upon. Quatte loves to make light of every situation, always quick on her feet and quicker on the tongue with a tendency to draw a weapon just because she missed the way it felt. Quatte is quite casual, though occasionally, when taking something serious, she can get a little carried away, most often in the form of incredibly brutal murder.
Quatte is often busy with putting lead in heads or helping Une with her work whenever she runs out of people to hunt down, which, believe it or not, happens quite often. If there was ever one to challenge Veronica, she might've bern an apt choice, constantly biting back her real potential.
Quatte is often tagging along with Une or busying herself with work or fraternizing with other Reapers.
"Man, I forgot who I was supposed to trip. Guess I'll have to take all their ankles."
The complete opposite of an extrovert, Quinn is very happy to stay holed up in her office with all the lovely little corpses she is brought after they've been processed and cleaned up, delighting in the passionate work of splitting them open to learn everything that one could possibly learn from a body to be chronicled into her journal and for a few new deformities to be added to her collection. Quinn is not very talkative, neither does she have much of a bedside manner, but she is incredibly good at what she does, often opting to let her work speak for herself. The Reapers have learned not to question Quinn, and just let her work her practical magic.
Quinn is the resident doctor, surgeon, pathologist and mortician, taking care of everything to do with the medical sciences and magics, fixing everything from cuts and scrapes to missing limbs to hexes and curses to reviving the important targets or fixing up people caught in the crossfire. When dragged out of her office, she is usually helping put people back together or being somewhat of an on site surgeon and pathologist.
"I would appreciate some peace and quiet, lest I have to take it by force."
Seks somehow manages to out-eccentric Quatte, tongue laced with an eloquent charm and charisma paired with a shifty pair of eyes. Seks isn't held back by petty wants when it comes to the way she looks, considering she can look however she wants. While most powerful demons can also do this, Seks has mastered it to a scary degree, holding whatever form in perfect fidelity as long as she likes. It shows, Seks loves to prank and play about, with or without her power, often offering fashion tips. She's quick to crack a joke or a passive remark, compliment your hair and give you a hug but can turn on a dime if she so chooses, offering her a rather unpredictable, hairbrained air about her.
Seks has since become the go to for covertness, often working on Earth or replacing demons in their rings to find those who may have been in cohorts. When she wants to be serious, she's incredibly good at her job.
Seks, while on her break, is often at a bar that she herself runs. She delights in the amenities that humans typically shun in hopes of reaching heaven, why throw away something so good for such a vain concept when you're already dead?
"I can smell your anticipation. Kiss me 'till you're drunk, we'll see if you can walk home."
A household name, Kakò once was the face of death itself. No demon doesn't know of her cruel grin and the stories of how sweet the kiss of her scythe could be, for the legends, the myths, the stories and the rumors permeate every corner of Hell, whispered as a joke and a dare, for some believe even uttering her name would bring the terror back to the dim hallways to fill them with blood once more. In reality, Kakò grew tired of the charade, she was not a fan of the gore, she was actually rather kind for a demon, especially so for the head Reaper at the time. She'd been the pressure behind Lucifer's grasp for a long time, an unlikely, at times uneasy, ally that had grown to be something more. The one demon Lucifer really trusted. Decade after decade, Kakò became bored, disgusted even at times, with Hell and her work itself, while growing ever more entangled with the Queen of the place she hated.
Eventually, she had enough.
Kakò then became the first, and the only, demon to retire. It was a tense agreement, but, Lucifer had been swayed. On one condition: That Kakò never set foot in Hell again.
She's held to that rule fairly well, having settled down on Earth, learning about the place that finally wasn't a permanent red-tinted twilight, falling in love again, getting married... Kakò is happy to be out, even if memories plague her, most likely for the rest of eternity.
".I regret all but one thing. I will never forget your smile that day."
