Summary

Virtual Reality is fundamentally shifting surgical education and practice from the traditional apprenticeship model ("See one, do one, teach one") to a simulation-based model ("Do it 100 times virtually before touching a patient"). VR can be used for both pre-operative planning as well as simulation training.
