Oil feed mod

Info provided by Calvin of Nivlac57 Youtube Channel, and Marc of EmTech

For any application, it is probably a good idea to do the following mod. This was the first engine that GM ever implemented VVT on, so they were understandably cautious about the oiling needs of the VVT system. Therefore the factory oiling system prioritizes the VVT, and the front main bearing. This is simply not required. Use at your own risk.

Basically we need to redirect the filtered oil into the rear main oil galley. This also provides a excellent place to source our turbo oil feed.

Emtech provides the fittings necessary to perform this

If you are more DIY inclined, you can also make your own fittings by drilling and tapping nuts for pipe thread, drilling the plugs out, and welding the nut to the fitting.
