This page comes out kind of wonky for mobile users. I recommend opening it on a laptop or desktop for better viewing.

Reground cams work by grinding the base circle down on the camshaft and therefore increasing the lift of the camshaft. This will change the geometry of the follower, and requires that you take up the extra lash that has been created by reducing the base circle. Here are some measurements that you may find interesting.
Right now, your best option for cams is a Schneider reground cam. I recommend you go with the largest offering, because the stock cams are so mild to begin with. We used the 258-66RH grind on the Fairmont Wagon and it netted 100 additional HP in boost, and back calculating what horsepower it would make NA, it should be around 50 HP. You will need a camshaft install kit. Here is a link to that: https://www.paccracing.com/store/reground-cam-lash-adjuster-and-shim-kit

VVT mod's to limit travel - needed for over 210* @ 50 cams - this works only for the 06 up VVT.s each mark is 2* CAM (4* crank). I do not recommend taking the 02-05 VVT sprocket apart. It is very difficult to reassemble in the correct orientation. Instead, upgrade to the later sprocket.
