Get familiar with using GoPro and VEED.IO

In this activity, you will learn how the GoPro and VEED.IO work. You will:

Select one of the following equipment to record with: the GoPro Handler, the GoPro Head Strap or the Joby GorillaPod Mobile Rig, and assemble it.  

Get familiar with the GoPro camera controls and buttons. 

Use the GoPro to record a 1 minute video.

1. Power up the GoPro

2. Press the "Mode" button to find and select "Video"

Transfer your data from the GoPro to the laptop.

Lift up the 'Door Latch' and connect the USB cable to the GoPro. Then connect the other end of the USB cable to the laptop

Once the camera is successfully connected, a GoPro folder will appear in File Explorer. Open it and go to the DCIM folder. Here you’ll find all the videos that you have recorded. Select a video and move it to the Desktop.

Watch the video tutorial to learn how to upload the footage into the VEED.IO platform. Then create an account, upload the recording and begin to edit it. 

Step 1: Upload your videos into the VEED.IO platform from either the New Project tab or Media tab. Then give your project a title. If it corrupts, use this online converter [www.freeconvert.com] to convert it from MP4 to MP4.


Step 2: Arrange the order of the videos. Then, you may choose to edit and cut and trim the length of the videos. 


Step 3: Select the Text tab and either add a text style from the collection or create your own. Then, adjust the where and how long you want the text to appear. 


Step 4: Click on the Elements tab and select and add an element from the collection. Then, adjust the length of it.


Step 5: Click on the Audio tab and select and add the music from the collection. Then, adjust the duration on the music clip.



 Once you have finished editing the vlog, click Done to save it.
