This video goes inside my teacher portal. I made it to give you a peak inside on how to open slots for bookings and what to expect once a class is booked. I go over the VIPKid teacher app, and I also share class examples of the levels so that you have a better understanding of what to expect! You got this! It is 30 minutes so grab a snack:)

You can edit with IMovie on your phone. Parents like to see a variety of things (classroom, teaching examples, family, hobbies & more). Avoid the script I use & make it original and fun. Film with a tripod or something stable and film horizontally if you are using your phone! You can change this later on by going to the VIPKid teacher app and clicking on your picture/account. There you will see your video and change it.

What does the Curriculum Look Like?
What does the Curriculum Look Like?
On your Teacher Portal under "Resources" & "Library" you can see level 3 unit overviews that give you a scope and sequence for the entire learning cycle in that level. Check them out to get a feel for the flow of things.
Old Trial class Curriculum: This is for you to see full lessons and what they look like. You will be able to access a lesson once you are booked to teach, so I hope these help you get an idea of what the lessons will be like. Keep in mind they are the old curriculum, so it looks different on the new powerpoints, but it is nice to see a full 25 minute lesson:)

You can access them by going to the "Library" tab in your teacher portal (Left side of the menu bar)
Certifications

I recommend certifying in the MC Trial 3.0 under "resources" & then "certification" in your teacher portal. This will help boost bookings as you figure out your schedule and build up "regular" students. That is just a student that rebooks you because you are awesome.

Download this to your phone and you can check your schedule, bookings, lessons and message the firemen if you cannot get into the classroom! I use this every day!

Contact VIPKID by using the "Support" button on the right side of the menu bar on your teacher portal.

This is under “community” in your teacher portal and is where you complete challenges and have the teacher forums!

You will be emailed updates every Tuesday so check your email from VIPKID! You can find the updates on the Hutong too! That is where you will comment and connect with other teachers about the updates. Access the Hutong from the drop down menu "Community" on your teacher portal.

These are some FB groups that I would recommend!
I use these resources and this group to add digital props and rewards to my classroom. I LOVE using them in class.
This is a positive space to ask questions and get support
Community to connect with. It is a large group! I joined my local VIPKID group that is in Utah! Search for one in your state/area!
Resource that goes over all of the lesson plans and curriculum. It has a google doc with feedback that you can copy and paste and adjust to your student to save time! It has notes from other teachers on what worked well when teaching specific lessons.

Many teachers use digital props with manycam. I suggest learning the classroom first and then adding in these digital features to enhance your classroom and engage your students and save on storage space:)

Flyer example: I use and edit on canva.com and you can see a template for "flyers" there to make your very own flyer!
