Earth is mostly a water planet, and for that reason the oceans contain more than 90% of earth's heat. These sun-heated waters, in combination with large scale air currents, create hot and cold oceanic cycles, which strongly influence our weather and climate. These oceanic cycles have varying frequency and amplitude which complicate climate forecasts.
Frank Lloyd Wright will come and be in person to explain how they built the Pyramids, Parthenon, Roman Colosseum, Notre- Dame cathedral, Taj Mahal, Fallingwater, world's tallest building -Burj Khalifa plus others - and what makes them so special.
We will review our current understanding of Alzheimer's Disease and learn about ways to improve brain health. We will also cover the recent FDA approval of the world's first medicine that can slow Alzheimer's Disease progression.
Charles Darwin tells about his life, his adventures and how he came up with his radical theory of evolution. To this day talking about evolution is still controversial and heretical. So, Darwin with examples debates evolution verses creationism.
How close are we to curing blindness from age-related macular degeneration and other inherited retinal disease? Navigating life with blindness and low vision- the wonders of modern technology! Please check out the website https://www.fightingblindness.org/about/about-us
High school is so different since you attended. Technology in the classroom has changed. Even the standard woodshop class has evolved. This talk will be about demonstrating the robot technology of a local high school robotics club and how we start with our woodshop class to build prototypes and end up with a 100 lbs. metal robot that can complete the goals of an international competition.

Anne will be in presenting the newest stem cell activating technology. It's a one-of-a-kind technology that is patented and science based with multiple third party, double blind placebo studies.
Find out why and how these storms form. See how these cyclones help remove heat from the tropics while cooling the oceans. Find out why they spin in different directions in different hemispheres, and find out why they cause tornadoes -- which are typically weak and short-lived.
The presentation covers observed impacts of climate change as well as the financial incentives for households provided in the Inflation Reduction Act recently passed by Congress. Previous presentations by Hank have resulted in a spirited discussion of this timely and worthy subject.
During Sagan's famous 1980 COSMOS television series, he explored the universe using scientific evidence and established theories. Then by 1985, Sagan began introducing speculative theories such as the Runaway Greenhouse effect on Venus. Even though he provided Congressional testimony, the data clearly shows he misled many.
Inflammation causes plaques to form in arteries and plaques to break off to cause heart attacks. Inflammation is caused by an overactive immunity caused by infections and cell damage. So the prevention of heart attacks should include: *avoiding mammal meat, sugar-added foods, fried foods and refined carbohydrates and eating lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans seeds and nuts, *exercising, *avoiding overweight, *avoiding smoke, alcohol, recreational drugs, and *more
The Thermohaline Circulation is one of Nature’s most important mechanisms for distributing heat from warm areas to cold ones. We examine its relationship with the Beaufort Gyre, a region in the Arctic Ocean that traps water, and current projections that it will release that trapped water with disastrous effects on climate.
In 2009 the EPA created the Endangerment Finding which labeled greenhouse gases as pollutants -- especially Carbon Dioxide. Discover why the EPA Inspector General found the EPA failed to follow their own laws, including failure to publicly reveal the logic used to convict CO2. This talk presents government climate data which tells another story.

This is lightning 101 to help make you an informed consumer living here in the “Lightning Capital of the US”. It presents information based on research from the University of Florida and over 250 years of science and experience and clarifies many of the myths and misunderstandings about lightning. The knowledge gained in this one-hour presentation will help residents make an informed decision about the lightning risk for their family, pets, home, appliances, and electronics.
Items covered will include govt. Tokamaks ITER etc., govt. laser fusion, classified Bussard Polywell fusion, Helion Corps private project, English Co's inertial method project, Lockheed's project.
The European Weather Model Reigns Supreme and the Russian Climate Model Reigns Supreme. Find out why that is and why we are so far behind.
Over 6,000 new exoplanets and solar systems in our Milky Way galaxy have been recently discovered by the Kepler Space Telescope. This will detail 14 unique new exoplanets with its location, size, distance, temperature, atmosphere and habitability features.12 newly found exo-solar systems will be compared to our own solar system.
The origin of petroleum is a truly scientific curiosity. My presentation will include the necessity of a source rock for petroleum, migration of the oil to a reservoir rock, and how to find it. The early prospecting for oil including finding surface seeps of oil and subsequent drilling on anticlines where it was much easier to find. Today, much oil is found undersea where it is much harder to find. I will discuss the origin of liquid petroleum from the original Drake well in 1859 to prospecting today.
Multiple lines of evidence that link birds and dinosaurs.
Learn about important climate studies that you will not hear about from the major news sources. These studies are published in scientific journals by both academic and government sources -- and yet the public hardly knows about them. One very important study is the $9 million NEEM Project from Greenland, which produced amazing climate change information.
We spend 1/3 of our lives sleeping so let's explore how we sleep, sleep stages and how our brain operates when sleeping. Plus a myriad of sleep issues that concern sleep apnea, dreams, insomnia, snoring, sleep deprivation and techniques to help fall asleep.
What happens when galaxies collide? How have collisions affected our own Milky Way in the past and future?
