BGS National Public School, Hulimavu, Bangalore celebrated National Science Day with great enthusiasm and decorum, promoting scientific awareness and innovation among students. The event was graced by our respected visionary and dynamic Principal Ma’am Dr.Malini Dutta, Vice Principal Smt. Savitha Suverna, and the esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Krishna Kishore.
The dignitaries were welcomed by students dressed as eminent Indian scientists such as Vikram Sarabhai, A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Kalpana Chawla, M. S. Swaminathan, and Tessy Thomas, along with creative robotic representations. As they proceeded, they observed students demonstrating scientific activities and explaining the underlying principles. A gallery walk on the auditorium stage further showcased these young “scientists,” who confidently presented the contributions of the personalities they portrayed.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp, followed by an invocation song and a welcome address by Ms. Mousumie Acharya. The Chief Guest addressed the gathering, and students of Grade 6 presented the significance of the day. A vibrant robotic dance performance added energy to the celebration.
The event also included the prize distribution for Science Quest winners and finalists, followed by presentations by three NSIC-winning teams. A special highlight was the thoughtful gesture of our Principal Ma’am, who recognized and appreciated the efforts of student participants with tokens of encouragement, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem, marking the end of an inspiring and memorable celebration.
