Open Resources for Creators and Advanced Users

• All my custom traits are created with Mod Constructor V4 by Zerbu and edited with Sims 4 Studio.

• All my game mods are made with Sims 4 Studio.

• I use XML Extractor by scumbumbo to extract the Sims 4 game tunings.

• To easily check what has changed in XMLs after a patch, you can use this tool by scumbumbo to compare the past and current XMLs. It requires WinMerge.

• Take a look at TDESCS uploaded by Sims Guru to understand what has changed after a patch. You need to look at TDESCS with this tool (Windows) / this tool (Mac) / this tool (Web).

• I recommend you to join this creator server for useful resources and get help from experienced modders.

• I also recommend you to take a look at this modding wiki where creators have been contributing to.

You can translate my mods with the following requirements.

• If you have a translation of my mods, please also inform me and send the translation to me on my Discord Server or to my email: chingyu1023vick@gmail.com. I will upload the translations to the mod download page and credit you! 😉 

• You may also share a translation package with ONLY the string tables you edited on your own site or the other forums if you want to but NOT to re-upload the mod tunings and scripts. No re-upload of the mod features.

• If you put a punctuation mark in the name, the game runs that package first. It overrides the other mods. In this case, if you put a ! in the name of a package of string tables, e.g. !chingyu_100traits_P1_CN, it overrides the original string tables to be the translated one. 

• I usually edit the string tables in Sims 4 Studio to do the strings.

• Some translators find it much easier to edit on DP STBL Editor + s4pe. I'm not familiar with these tools so I recommend you to join this Translator Discord Server for translation tutorials.

• If there is a "None of the game resources are edited" statement on a mod info page, it means there should be NO conflicting mod.

• If there are edited game resources, I have already stated what commonly questioned mods that are compatible or not on each mod info page and download page. You may ask me if you have a mod that you are unsure about.

• You may also check the "Edited Game Resources for References" on mod info pages if you are an advanced mod user.

• All my Custom Traits Packs are compatible with any other mods. There should be no conflicting mod.

• My mods are compatible with Lumpinou_MoodPackMod. It is not required but there are add-ons of my mods to support it.

• If you have an XML injector in your Mod folder, you may add my traits to Sims through the reward store if stated in the mod descriptions. If you don't have the injector, the traits simply won't show up in the reward store. It is not required but recommended.

• I’d love to work with the other creators to have my traits included in their mods’ effects. 

• I'm trying my best to include as many custom traits by other creators in the club filter as possible. If you see one custom trait that you want to be set as the club requirement, tell me and I will add it to the filter!

• Likewise, if a creator wants a custom trait to be included in the traits picker, feel free to tell me!

• I’m also planning on having the other creators’  traits affect social autonomy in Smarter Social and Faithfulness. 

You can download and install the Presets of Mod Constructor for my custom traits and preferences. You can refer to these trait IDs if you use mod constructor 4 or 5. I will update THIS Google folder when I add new traits and preferences. 

How to install: Go to the "Presets" folder of your Mod-Constructor, then inside the "Trait" folder, and paste the downloaded XML Files.
