( One can even believe the angry snake but not a smiling woman)This proverb is used by male folk to be caution about unknown women who is speaking nicely with smiling face.

(A woman always thinks backward)This proverb is generally used by men folk in order to criticize the ability of women in planning or doing things
சான் பிள்ளை ஆனாலும் ஆன் பிள்ளை
Saan pillai anaalum aan pillai
(Though the child is short he is a male child)This shows the societal preference for a boy child. Therefore, if a boy child is short and ugly, he is preferable to a tall and beautiful daughter. This reiterates the importance lay on a boy child.
