(The mind of a Channar is always thinking about the pot and box) Channar or Nadar is a community which is traditionally involved is toddy tappingand trading. They use a small pot which is locally known as chatty for toddy tapping. This proverb refers that they are very focused and always thinking about chatty- the pot and petti i.e. the money box.
