Born to a Polish mother and Cuban father, Lucas spent the early portion of his life growing up on a farm in rural Poland. Animals and plants were his life and he was a relatively active and happy child who spent his days learning from his father and playing with his twin brother. As he got older, Lucas began to recognize a growing resentment towards him from his mother. Not understanding why she seemed to dislike him, Lucas disregarded it and began to grow more attached to his father in response. She passed this resentment down to his brother who also began to pull away from him. Though this upset him even more, he stuck close to his father and sister for support and found comfort in having his paternal parent and older sibling still loving him. When he was eight, his sister left home for college and his parents divorced, his mother taking everything in the divorce and leaving Lucas and his father with only the farm. They struggled to get by but they managed well.
One day, while going out to the farmer’s market to sell some produce, Lucas and his father were targeted by police. They were jostled, and a suspicious inspection quickly devolved into brutality. Lucas was restrained and forced to watch as his father was beaten to death in front of him, badly wounded himself, and forced to live on his own. Now an orphan, Lucas quickly found himself homeless and needing to adapt to street life. He was able to master the art of deception and make a living for him begging, bartering, and stealing. In his late teens, he met his first girlfriend and the two were dedicated to each other for a year before he was finally caught at the age of 17 and taken to prison for murder and grand theft, among other things. During his six-year sentence, he killed two people in self-defense and became addicted to drugs. He was known by many as a troublemaker and began his criminal record by smuggling contraband into the prison, starting fights, impersonating wardens and officers, and made connections with various infamous criminal organizations.
Upon his release, Lucas joined the Polish land forces where he served for six years before being transferred to the JW GROM for another seven years. His discipline and strength allowed him to rise through the ranks quickly, and he was scheduled for promotion into the AW before suddenly vanishing without a trace. It was found he’d been illegally trading government secrets to the United States in exchange for cryptocurrency, as well torture, murder, and a variety of other war crimes. He fled before he could be charged with treason and went on to become a criminal wanted by international police. Shortly after going rogue, he moved to Cuba where he was reunited with his brother Xavier. Despite all that happened, he trusted Xavier with information about his plans. At first, everything seemed to be going well, but Xavier quickly proved himself to me manipulative, controlling, overbearing, and downright abusive. Lucas stays with him because he’s been convinced that Xavier is the only support he has and the only one who won’t turn him in for what he does, and so he obeys his brother’s every word, only leaving for work and always returning home to him. He knows he is miserable but cannot bear the thought of losing the only family he feels he has left, as he hasn’t heard from his mother or sister in years. He’s desperate to keep his one last connection.
Though he specializes in assassinations, Lucas is available for bodyguarding, smuggling, drug dealing, getaway driving, stealing, and much much more through his website Tango Down on the Deep Web. His reputation and early engagement into the crime scene has earned him many favors and he has many connections. His notoriety among criminals has earned him many prison tales, stories, and rumors alike.
Quiet, reserved, and generally unassuming, Lucas is the type to keep to himself and carry his own secrets. He speaks very little and to very few people, offering up a silently intimidating aura to those around him even with his apathetic expression. He’s untrusting, prefers not to associate more personally with people than he has to and keeps things strictly professional as best he can. Despite this, his silence should not be mistaken for passiveness, as he has a startling reaction time, a hair-trigger temper, and no tolerance for people looking to run around with him. Combined with his appearance, this has often led to him being the target of many bar brawls, street fights, and conflicts with rivals looking to snuff out his business alike. His stubborn spirit has gotten him into trouble on more than one occasion, but his clever nature, craftiness, cunning, training, and brute strength usually bails him out of it. If not, then he has a web of connections to help him out.
Outside of a professional setting, Lucas is a very distant person with limited compassion and emotional understanding due to years being emotionally stunted himself and forcing himself to become bitter and numb so the world can no longer hurt him, physically or mentally. He’s traumatized and drowns his sorrows in his addictions to try and cope with what he’s been through. His ongoing struggle against his brother, his last remaining family member, continues to warp his perception of what healthy relationships with others should look like. He struggles with himself and he struggles to form connections with people, taking a long time just to warm up to someone and begin to trust them. So, he attempts to be strong and confident to mask the fact he is secretly a very scared child who was forced to grow up too quickly. He tries to be something he knows he is not and grows defensive at the first sign of someone noticing the facade slip.
The only time Lucas isn’t struggling to keep his guard up is when he is indulging himself in his many guilty pleasures: partying, drinking, and drug. Lucas own a club down in Havana that he routinely swings by when he comes home. He enjoys spending hours rolling in marijuana and molly, drinking, and dancing with a crowd of people. In his mind, it’s an escape from the reality his life has become. He finds peace and indeed genuine joy in occasionally catching up on the younger years he didn’t get to have by acting like a reckless kid again. The fun only ends once the hangover comes knocking.
Though he may seem callous and harsh at times, especially under the influence of his addictions, deep down, Lucas is capable of immense kindness and warmth. It takes time and patience, but if one finds themself able to endure his hard exterior, Lucas can prove himself to be loyal, playful, generous, and kind beyond words. He only needs the time, care, and opportunity to come out of his shell and show who he really is. He has a gentle soul and a kind heart deep down. Way, way deep down.
STRENGTHS: Innovative, great at improvising, tech-savvy, strong and independent, neat and organized, flexible, precise, history and literature buff
WEAKNESSES: Not good at math or science, very stubborn and proud and won’t back down, lets his addictions and libido get the best of him, overly distrustful, would rather die than ask for help, will not allow himself to heal and prefers to remain angry, tends to lash out because he lacks emotional control
HOBBIES: Calligraphy, writing, cooking, playing guitar and piano, swimming and surfing, singing, going to church, playing with his dogs, exercise, makeup, cooking/baking, occasional sewing, working on machinery/tending to his bike, car, and weapons
LIKES: Beaches, music he can dance to, his prized watch, suits and ties, dogs, sweets like cookies, cakes, and ice cream, romantic-comedies, his friends, motorcycles, Olive Garden
DISLIKES: Cops, needles, authority in general, restraints, having his neck touched, his brother, his mother, having to visit his brother in Cuba
Cyberpunk - Cybermerc
Hired guns are a dime a dozen in Night City and it can difficult to discern the diamonds from the dirt when it comes to paying for decent service. What sets Lucas apart from the amateurs is a criminal record. Lucas Kumiega remains one of Interpol’s top priorities and his international record has not gotten any shorter since he came to Night City. Fixers looking to hire him will find that this merc has made a name for himself. It’s not a good name by most measures, but as far as getting the job done, they know that he’s reliable at least.
Dead By Daylight - Cheap Kills
Fresh out on another contract, Lucas vanished into the fog as quickly and as silently as he had come. Stepping out of the crime scene brought him into a new, unfamiliar territory however - one that the Entity sees as most favorable given his record. Lucas does not enjoy being a pawn in a game and he makes his displeasure known by refusing to play fair. As a Killer, he refuses to subscribe to the stalk-and-slash mentality and prefers to use his usual stealth-and-shoot tactics, much to the displeasure of everyone. Because Lucas refuses to yield to any authority - even a dark, primordial deity with full control over him and his fate now. He’s pissed off at his current circumstances and he’s determined to make it everyone else’s problem.
Dead By Daylight - Stubborn Survivor
The only thing more annoying and unfair than Lucas as a Killer is Lucas a Survivor. Once again refusing to relinquish his weapon of choice, Lucas is a gutsy, intelligent escape artist who fearlessly takes aim at Killers. Even if it’s completely useless, he will empty clip after clip into would-be attackers and do his best to annoy the ever-living shit out of them until the very end. At least he’s a decent teammate and willing to defend his fellow Survivors when he can.
Fallout - Synthetic SoldierVerses
Nothing holds down a rebel spirit. Not even being captured by a morally bankrupt group of scientists looking to make artificial people the new norm. Brought back by the Institute as a Courser, Lucas had one job: hunt down runaways and monitor activity on the surface. Had is the key word here. Because he broke free of his “programming” and has been making himself a nuisance ever since. Making a living as a merc for hire, Lucas’ main goal is finding out who he used to be and rediscovering himself. And he’ll take down anyone that gets in his way.
Far Cry - Traveling For Work
The job of an internationally wanted criminal is never done. It’s might come as a surprise how often Lucas finds himself being contracted in countries abroad for work. He’s quite interested in the prospect, as travel means better pay and exotic excitement. Whether that means serving as an invading tyrant’s bodyguard for a while, serving as a sniper in an ongoing civil war, smuggling weapons to a remote location dealing with in-fighting and strife, or heading back home to join a bunch of rebels in toppling a strangling dictatorship. Lucas can never say his life isn’t interesting.
Grand Theft Auto - All In The Job Description
Cities are the same to Lucas. No matter where you go, there’s always a criminal underside to the bright lights and flashy signs. In Los Santos and Liberty City, he doesn’t need to change much to fit in. He slips right into the mold of an old criminal for hire easily, and he has just as easy of a time pulling in jobs too. The only difference is that in these places, the focus tends to be on theft and heists as opposed to outright assassination or murder. Not that he minds though. Grand theft and getaway driving her are just two more services on his long crime-life repertoire.
Resident Evil / Zombie Apocalypse Verse - Gone Viral
When it comes to big organizations like governments or corporations that prefer to keep their affairs secret, the greatest thing to fear is a leak of information or a nosy mole. People that could spill their secrets with just a word. People like Lucas. An infiltrator, a trader of secrets, and exactly what every secretive hivemind fears, Lucas has no trouble and no issue dragging the darkest secret into the light. And as an old soldier skilled in the art of survival, he has no trouble navigating the hostile world that viruses and undead creatures create. Lucas lives by the mindset of setting people up to knock them down, and finishing what he started - especially where unethical businesses are concerned.
Supernatural / Fantasy Verse - Fancy Fang
Many people imagine vampires to be devilishly charming creatures of the night that take the shape of bats and fly on silent wings to feast on the blood of the innocent. Well, that’s mostly correct in Lucas’ case. As a vampire, Lucas thrives in the dark. He feasts on the victims of his assassinations and uses his clak or bat form to fly. He stalks the streets as a blood-starved predator, using his charm to lure pretty faces into his grasp for both sex and food. And the worst part of all? Holy symbols have no effect on him. (Don’t worry though. Garlic, mountain ash, and running water are still just as effective.)
Most people wouldn’t recognize Lucas in passing but those involved in law enforcement/crime would know of Lucas and his criminal record. Just not his backstory. Still, Lucas usually wears makeup to cover up his tattoos so he’s not particularly easy to recognize in public anyway, even to them.
Lucas has four dogs, one of them being a service dog and two being guard dogs, making it difficult to sneak onto his property.
Lucas is generally mute when he first meets people. It may take time for him to get accustomed to others and actually speak to them and he is not emotionally present. It’s for his own safety so people have a harder time recognizing him, and also to resist any possible attachments to people at all.
Lucas is not one to be easily affected by disturbing things given his history. He’s also difficult to sneak up on and hard to scare thanks to his hyper vigilance.
Lucas has an increased pain tolerance thanks to his military-grade training and desensitization to certain stimuli from exposure to it. If he fights, he’s difficult to knock down
Lucas is addicted to alcohol, drugs, and sex and he can often be found indulging in such things when he’s not occupied with work.
Lucas is not grossed out by bugs. On the contrary, he likes bugs. For dinner. It’s not uncommon for Lucas to find things like roaches, worms, crickets, etc. that have found their way into his house a good, protein-rich snack. It’s a holdover from his childhood. Food was hard to come by, so Lucas turned to eating bugs to help feed himself. He knows the good ones from the bad ones and actually thinks some taste okay.
Lucas loves animals. Especially dogs and birds. He wants to be able to own a farm again like he did in his youth.
Lucas knows sign language. It was something he picked up in prison to communicate with other members of the gang he’d joined without the guards knowing. He also knows Morse code from his time in the military.
Lucas is street-smart, but not book-smart. He knows every part of a car or motorcycle and can fix any issue he’s presented with. He can disassemble and reassemble a gun with ease. He can read Shakespeare and write in a beautiful calligraphic style. He built his own makeshift home while he was homeless. But if you ask Lucas any type of math or science question, he will not be able to explain it at all. He’s an engineer, but he’s not a rocket scientist.
Lucas sucks at verbal communication when it comes to his emotions. For some reason, he simply struggles to translate what he feels into words and for that reason, he bottles it up and tries to ignore it as best he can. He finds it much easier to write things out if he’s pressed. If he feels close enough to the person, spending a couple hours holding onto them will alleviate the ache.
Lucas is incredibly touch sensitive. He craves physical contact and adores being held and holding onto others. He loves cuddling, he loves being caressed, he loves everything about physical contact. What prevents him from engaging in it is his own paranoia from his work.
Lucas’ senses are heightened on account of his experiences and his training. His senses of smell and hearing are very keen. This is mostly to discern bad food from good food, and his hearing is the result of hyper-vigilance. He is incredibly sensitive to change and likes to be aware of his surroundings at all times.
Lucas is a foodie. He loves cooking and baking his own food and knows many many recipes. It’s one of the few ways he feels close to his father again— through making dishes he used to make. He also loves learning new recipes because they tie into his greater dream of one day traveling the world (by a boat he owns) and exploring all it has to offer on his own terms. He especially loves sweets and indulges in cake and ice cream as comfort food.
Lucas often swings between eating too much and not eating enough when he’s depressed, stressed, or under the influence.
Lucas loves the water. He loves swimming and he loves surfing. The beach is a favorite place of his to be and he loves visiting it on rare occasion just to enjoy the water for himself without having to worry about life for a while.
Lucas follows a strict exercise regiment to keep himself at peak performance (this does not include the fact that he destroys his liver with substances). He does bars, push-ups, curl ups, weights, cardio, and swimming to stay in shape.
Lucas has a relatively tanky immune system. Being exposed to pathogens for the better portion of his life has made him very strong, but he is not invincible. Especially given all the routine doctor’s visits he’s missed.
Lucas is severely allergic to sandalwood, raspberries, grapefruit, and pineapple. That he purposefully disregards his pineapple and raspberry allergies on occasion only because he really likes the taste of them.
Lucas has had to have liver surgery twice. He went to the Breather for it both times because he was the only one he trusted enough to operate on him. In both cases, it was because his liver was literally failing due to his intense alcohol and drug dependence.
Lucas wears makeup. Usually, it’s just foundation to cover up his tattoos and keep him under the radar, but sometimes he goes all out just to see how hot he can make himself look. (The answer is very hot.)
It takes Lucas quite a while to warm up to someone. He’s a difficult man to make happy or see smile, but if one really wants to see him happy, try spying on him when he’s playing with his dogs. His pets make him the happiest man in the world simply by existing.
Lucas despises any sort of contact to his throat. He’s been choked several times and it warrants an immediate fight or flight response for him. Don’t touch his neck.
Lucas likes to look good and keep himself clean. He shaves regularly, waxes, moisturizes frequently, puts on face masks and soaks in lush baths— he likes to take care of himself despite the fact he hates himself.
Lucas has a watch that he wears at all times and refuses to ever take off. It was a gift from his first girlfriend and it means the absolute world to him. It’s gone through many repairs and upgrades over time but he’s never dared to part with it.
Lucas is very prone to sleep issues. His most prominent is sleep apnea, where he stops breathing for long periods of time, however he also frequently suffers from nightmares, night terrors, and sleep paralysis. As a result, Lucas only gets a small amount of sleep each night and rarely goes into REM. This does explain some of his crankier behavior at times. And the dark circles.
Lucas is extremely uncomfortable with loud sounds paired with sudden bright flashes. Effectively, thunderstorms and fireworks spook him into wanting to hide.
Lucas used to also smoke but gave it up when, after he’d joined his local church’s choir, he found that it was affecting his singing voice.
Lucas owns a club in Havana, Cuba named El Palacio Del Toro (it’s under his alias). Whenever he’s home, he often spends his nights at the club drinking, dancing, and looking for one-night stands.
Lucas loves hibiscus flowers and grows them a lot for himself. They have a special significance to him connected to his father.
Lucas largely understands that there is something fundamentally different about him compared to his peers. It affects his behaviors, his perceptions of the world, his responses to things- pretty much everything about himself. And it’s part of why he isolates himself.
Lucas doesn’t believe in wasting food. Case in point- five-second rule.
Lucas drives a motorcycle (which he named Onyx) most of the time. He prefers bikes to cars, though he does have a nondescript-looking black SUV that he drives around for heavier jobs.
Lucas has a sister who he hasn’t seen since he was like 7 or 8. In contrast to Xavier, she is very warm and kind towards her brother and misses him a lot. Xavier tends to be very friendly… to others. With Lucas, he is very intense and a toxic older sibling.
Lucas’ behavior borders on being hypersexual. He has multiple addictive patterns in his life, sex being one of them. Unlike Mike, he has taken the “sheer willpower” route. His prior training and work lifestyle have allowed him to create different frames of mind, and with that he has learned to mostly “block out” the impulses when he really needs to. He usually indulges in it the same way he does with all his addictions- later on when it’s safe enough and he has the chance. Much like Michael, he feels guilty and knows there is something wrong about what he’s doing. Unlike Mike, he is not willing to seek help or get treatment because of his own stubborn pride.
Lucas’ favorite place to be kissed is on his nose.
Lucas had his dick tattooed. The image of choice is an arrow breaking through chains. He got it as part of a dare.
Lucas enjoys receiving oral sex, especially in the context of facefucking.
Lucas is a very strong, dominating partner with most. It takes a very deep connection for him to submit to someone else.
Lucas enjoys dirty-talking and degrading his partner in bed. He's also one who prefers rougher sex and will leave handprints, brruises, hickeys, and bitemarks on his partner. He enjoys the use of bondage and toys and will edge his partner for hours if they let him.
Lucas routinely as sex under the influence of substances like LSD and marijuana. He'll even have sex when he's tipsy, though not past that.
Valeriya Khorkin - First Love
Lucas met his first love when they were kids - just two youths scraping by on the streets. They connected over scrounging through garbage cans and stealing from local shops to survive. They became a rather troublesome duo to all the locals but they were only trying to stay alive. On their two year anniversary, Lucas gave her a promise ring and she gave him a watch, and under the stars they laid together and promised that they’d get out of this life one day and have a happily ever after together. Eventually though, they were separated with only Valeriya managing to get away. Despite the fact that it’s been nearly two decades and the cruelty of the world has changed him, Lucas still holds out hope to find his beloved Valeriya again and make good on his promise to her. For no matter how his life may go, there will never be another that he loves quite like his dear sweet Val.
Ernst Schubert - Husband
At first glance, The Dollmaker and The Hitman look to be a rather odd couple. And they are. But despite the weird circumstances, Lucas and Ernst enjoy a very healthy and fulfilling relationship. Having met by pure chance while pursuing the same target, the two were both more than a little weary of each other but quickly put aside their differences to avoid being caught by the police on their way out. From there came a strange acquaintanceship and from that acquaintanceship grew a strange but wholesome love. As the years have gone by, Ernst has helped Lucas overcome his greatest struggles, and the both of them have offered each other the sense of love, comfort, and stability they’ve both been seeking for a long time.
