Born at the tail end of the Mythic War, Angelina and Miki Takamura were born in one of the few Mythic-centric areas just outside of Tokyo.Originally part of a litter of 10, there mother and eight siblings were lost in an ambush after humans ransacked the family home outside of the city. Their father was a strong willed man with many connections and equally an powerful grandfather, who ensured their security using his various ties to the Italian Mafia and Yakuza. While he did his best to raise his girls to have a normal, happy and healthy life, the two were inevitably pulled into the world of crime with their father. They learned early on what it meant to be part of such illicit circles. However, the violence and nature of the people their father worked with wasn’t what stuck with them. It was the money, and how it allowed people to get away with many things and do even more. Paired with witnessing firsthand the aftermath of the war on Mythic-kind, the two set out to put this knowledge to use. They developed a close bond and invaluable skill sets that worked symbiotically to create an empire out of almost nothing.
It began when their father passed away when they were sixteen. They had many adoring uncles from both sides of their family and invaluable connections they’d met via carrying out favors behind their father’s back. They received all of his money as well as their late grandfather’s and liquidated his assets before vanishing for a brief while. While under the radar, the two purchased an abandoned club for peanuts. It was placed in a good spot in Tokyo and featured new age artists and music, welcoming coming and going trends, and performed well. On its lower level, it was a charity service that began taking in homeless and displaced mythic families and veterans from the war and providing food and shelter from the club’s profits until they could find their feet. However, word about the club grew and it came to be that more people were coming to be helped than profit was allowing. The two reached out to their connections and began finding work for Mythics— both legitimate and illegitimate. Over time, the business grew and grew, expanding to different towns, then cities, then countries, then continents. The clubs became notoriously popular among unsuspecting humans and Mythics alike. Club Takamura, or the Twin Bunny Club, became a haven for Mythics looking for help. Its ties to the mob, the Yakuza, the cartel, and other well-known organized crime syndicates allowed for easy exchange of valuable products and allowed for many Mythics to find work and support during difficult times. Eventually, the club even gained private support and funding from renowned figureheads, such as Maverick Clawdio and Kain Winters. With their support, the network continued to grow and expand.
By age 30, the sisters had become a profound presence in the Mythic scene. “Angelina” and “Miki” as they’d come to call themselves, provided an invaluable business, supplying mercenaries, smugglers, security hands, bankers, farmers, laborers and more to companies and people who needed them, and exchanging goods and services through various means outside of prying government eyes. Though there are mixed views on whether or not the existence of The Club itself is a good thing, it has invariably done much good in its existence and the sisters have prided themselves on the fact that they have never lost sight of what they’re trying to do: give Mythics the chance humans never did. The sisters live comfortably and oversee their entire operation from within, and while not much is known about them due to only a handful of people ever getting to actually meet them in person, it is known that they will occasionally go out and do their dirty work themselves, they have connections and people everywhere, and they are never far apart.
Despite being twins, the Takamura Sisters could not be more different. Angelina tends to be the more outgoing and lively of the two. She truly embodies the club front aspect of the business. She dances, entertains, allures, and attracts. She is the real body of the operation, wooing people with her charms and physical appeal. She’s a party animal who goes ham on the dancefloor and has a tendency to go a bit crazy with the drinks (and drugs occasionally). Despite the impression she can give, Angelna is capable of being serious. She’s just very passionate about keeping their front up so they can keep moving with their cause. She’s very down to earth, kind and nurturing. She tends to be the one to mediate issues and look for easy solutions. She’s bold, confident, and very optimistic.
In contrast, Miki tends to be much more logical rather than emotional. She manages money, resources, jobs, and connections. The cogs move behind the scenes because she makes them. She’s very focused and calm, showing incredible restraint and a powerful aura of confidence and control. She’s regarded as “the Mythic whose glare could stop a charging predator in its tracks” and she has earned this notoriety and reputation. She is rather proud of this title as well. She is more level-headed and professional than her sister, approaching issues logically and doing the hard thing when she needs to.
Despite their differences, the sisters work in tandem. All decisions require the approval of both of them. They work hard to compromise and find middle ground, both with each other and clients. One hand takes, the other gives. One hand holds the other, the other holds the scalpel. The harmony they exhibit is regarded by some as being “awe inspiring”, and others as being “terrifying”. With the power they possess, it is easy to forget they are prey Mythics. They are at the top of the food chain with the rest after all.

The Twins mainly operate out of their underground club and work behind the scenes organizing deals, transportation, jobs, and support for the greater hic community.
The Club is a well-kept and well-known secret among Mythics but most humans don’t know about it aside from the club establishment front it keeps up.
The Club is incredibly secretive and organized on its lower level. Getting in is difficult and often dangerous unless you have a reference. Plots involving inner club workings require plotting.
