Marmalade was born in the mountains of Greece to a pair of Minotaur parents. Her father worked a farm and collected lumber for them while her mother made clothing from the fibers of the trees and sheep they cared for. The family was right at home among the rocky cliffs and trails and she and her brother often spent much time exploring the terrain and admiring the view as they played along the sheer faces. Their closest neighbors were a clan of Phoenixes that lived a good collection of miles away on one of Greece’s volcanoes, and so the Minos’ would often trade and do business with their firebird friends. She and her brother became well acquainted with some of the other Mythics their age and early on, interacting with them inspired a deep love for baking and cooking in Marmalade, as it was something the Phoenixes had that the Minotaurs did not focus so much on as intellect. From the moment she could first hold a spoon in her hand, Marmalade began trying to make recipes from anything and everything she could get her hands on. Her village came to revere her for her sense of taste, calling on her to cook and bake for events and helping her prepare grand feasts. While her family didn’t quite understand this fascination with food, they recognized that their daughter was very cheerful and very enthusiastic about it all and supported her creative endeavors, trying their bet to learn from her skills and help wherever they could.
While her family’s location managed to put off her facing the reality of the horrors of the Mythic Wars, unfortunately, it was only delaying the inevitable. When she was still just a young cow of 16 years, hunters began venturing up into the mountains looking for fleeing Mythics. They came to realize that they were on a time limit when one day, they visited their Phoenix friends only to find all of their settlements completely destroyed and no trace of the firebirds left. Her father, who had briefly been in the service, recognized that they didn’t have much time and hastily tried to get his family out of the country before they could be found. The hunters however, moved faster than they thought and caught them mid-preparation. Marmalade’s father attempted to defend his family, staying back to buy them enough time to escape. They weren’t able to get very far though. Marmalade fought fiercely to defend them, but Gus suffered a serious injury to his face and her leg was seriously wounded upon being captured by the hunters. Both she and her brother were caged and forced to watch as both of his parents were carted off to be slaughtered and canned. The siblings were moved to a “farm facility.”
The humans on the “farm” were torturing many different kinds of animal myths, looking to exploit their weaknesses. In particular, they were struggling to find a solid way to eliminate Minotaurs, and their population of captives was dwindling. In their cruelty, they came up with a terrible idea: to start breeding their prisoners in order to have new “specimens” for experimentation. Marmalade fought the “research efforts” as best as she could but due to her leg, she was unable to stop them. She was forced into being a breeding animal and bore several calves while in captivity- each of which was taken from her. She was broken by the experience, with the only thing motivating her to stay alive being her younger brother, Gus. He was whipped and forced to participate in paid bull fights and do hard labor. The two of them were tortured, exhausted, but remained alive through this cycle that would last for eleven years until Gus witnessed his sister collapse from exhaustion and never get back up. He realized he couldn’t take being in this place any longer and made a daring escape in the night with her in the night. Carrying her on his back, he was chased for weeks before finally managing to sneak them both onto a cargo ship heading to the States, where he ended up in New York.
Starved, homeless, and with nothing to their name, Marmalade and her brother wandered about looking for work and eventually caught the eye of pair of rabbitfolk sisters who ran an underground organization trying to house and find Mythics work during the war. They heard their story, fed them, clothed them, educated them, and gave them proper training to work. Gus ended up as a bouncer in their club. Marmalade was given respite in the opportunity to cook again. They let her have a restaurant and kitchen, with the promise that a small fraction of her profits would be paid back to them. She was all too happy to agree to the opportunity. Since then, she’s been happily running the Moomin’s Moonchies Cafe and Bakery business. She still struggles immensely with what she has been through, but she takes solace in the fact that she and her brother are still together and nothing can tear them apart now.
Appearing as the tough, confident, yet oh-so sweet and bubbly owner of Moomin’s Moonchies, Marmalade prides herself on being a sturdy support for her community. When it comes to charity events and drives, she’s the first one to stand up. She loves talking with locals about their daily lives and the ongoings of the township. To the young, she is a role model and mother figure. To the old, she’s considered a model citizen of the youth. Her notoriety stems from both her prolific baking business and her intermittent popularity as a local sport-fighter. To many, Moomin is considered one of the mascots of the Wild Side of town.
While she does bask somewhat in the limelight of her community’s praise, Moomin is also a very private person. She keeps her struggles close to her chest and is always stubbornly proud, refusing to as for help and insisting that she can handle things on her own. Her tenacity and sense of self-reliance is admirable, though it has hardly helped her as the years have passed. Moomin carries with her a great deal of pain from her experiences during the war. She has never recovered from the loss of her children and does not have many healthy coping mechanisms. Instead, she chooses to pour herself into her work and can become agitated when her distraction is interrupted. Her experiences have also manifested in her having a deep distrust of intimate relationships and interactions, especially with humans - human men in particular.
At her center though, Moomin is kind and doting. She cares deeply for her brother and insists on looking after him, even now that he is bigger and further away from her. Her deep sense of love and care for both her family and her community shines through, as does her desire to one day be well enough to have a family of her own. Her reliability, charity, and overall zest for life shines over the secrets of her past she works hard to keep hidden. She hopes that one day she will be well enough to make the front she feels she’s putting up her reality.

Moomin has a particular fondness for sweet, spongy cakes.
Moomin lives in a loft above her business - a common trend among Mythics that was adopted during the war in order to allow them to better defend their businesses and livelihoods and reduce the risk of being attacked while commuting.
Moomin’s loft features four small children’s bedrooms. Each room is furnished and decorated for young boys or girls (or twins in one case). Each is dedicated to the children she lost.
Moomin has a partnership with both the Takamura Sisters and the Wilder Detective Agency; her cafe is often the drop-point or meetup location for many illicit individuals looking to do business. As such, she provides them information on notable individuals in exchange for profit and protection from both groups.
Mooomin is very hesitant to engage in penetrative sex. It would take a deep connection and sense of comfort in order for her engage in it with a partner.
Moomin has a very large collection of toys she uses to pleasure herself - and her partners.
Moomin has a lactation kink.
Moomin prefers to offer sexual acts like oral rather than receive them.
Moomin enjoys roleplaying and light bondage. Nothing overly restrictive - she does not like being completely immobilized.
Moomin's safeword is "cheese curds."
Bruno "The Doomslayer" Blazcowicz - Partner (maximuses)
Bruno and Moomin met when the Doomslayer was summoned to handle a cult led by a powerful Grand Duke of Hell. However, he quickly found himself in need of assistance and contacted the agency, who had already gathered several individuals with experience dealing with the cult. Through them, he met Moomin. Though their initial interactions were terse and stand-offish, Moomin became the first and only person he spoke to in years, and from there, the two developed a gentle and loving friendship which later bloomed into an equally tender and loving romantic relationship.
