The brainchild of a magic dog and her djinn companion, Orisa was sculpted out of the earth and used as a base tester for several prototype cybernetics designed by Effinity. Her original purpose was to create a super-intelligent life form that constantly learned from her experiences and environment. The project began well. Orisa was defaulted to be a benevolent creature that proved effective at helping others. She developed a strong sense of conscience and morality that was untampered by things like bias. Orisa understood and could convey emotion on a basic level, able to empathize with other beings and mourn losses, but lacked the deeper intricacies and nuances associated with them. This made her effective in making fair judgements about people without being hindered by intense emotional responses that otherwise may have clouded her judgement. Orisa’s ability to retain information and apply new knowledge surpassed expectation. She was able to upgrade her cybernetics without help easily, and the upgrades themselves proved shocking in their form and effectiveness. She had been created with several self-defense mechanics built in, including several projectile systems, shields, and self-repair. She’d completely dismantled her projectiles and improved her shield and self-repair. To make up for the lost weaponry, she developed a deployable gravity sphere which she could use to slow people down and pull them towards her without harming them.

Over the course of her first few years of life, the goal of the project shifted. Orisa became an early-phase alternative to traditional law enforcement. Though she was taught the same practices and procedures, her focus was on community-building and rehabilitation instead of simple seizure and arrest. Orisa’s relationship with her community was very strong and crime saw a sharp decline thanks to the implementation of her new tactics: namely de-escalation, education, and support. She had the lowest number of arrests, something the local law enforcement did not like, but she also reported the fewest amount of crimes in her allotted territories. Eventually, a request was put in to have Orisa transferred from her quiet town near Johannesburg out to the States for a large-scale test run of her abilities. Orisa, Effinity, and Alfdor were relocated shortly after the end of the war to New York City. Her updated programming and upgraded cybernetics linking her to the police servers proved to be just as effective in New York as they were back home. Again, she had the lowest arrest rate, but her arrival also correlated with a significant decrease in crime. Orisa came to be loved by many members of her community. She regularly made snack and drink deliveries, held outdoor movie marathons, and routinely helped people go from place to place, as well as intervened in numerous accidents and crimes.

Orisa was not looked upon fondly by her fellow officers of the law however. Being that she wasn’t human and didn’t follow the traditional “police codes of brotherhood” (meaning she didn’t help cover up when a colleague did something immoral), she was routinely sent threats and harassed, which only led to her filing more misconduct reports. These were never escalated however, and only made her situation worse. Though she appeared apologetic as per her programming, Orisa truly didn’t have the capability (or just didn’t care) to feel actually threatened. She continued on with her work and continued to commit upgrades to her cybernetics. She continues to serve as an alternative security and public safety unit, providing assistance to anyone who needs it, intervening in crime, protecting her community, and helping anyone who needs it.

Though she stands at an intimidating height, Orisa is no one to be feared. Despite her hulking size, she is an extremely gentle giant with a very big heart and a wonderful sense of community. Orisa’s prime directive is to help people any way she can. She enjoys speaking with members of her community, memorizing key details about them as the talk. Her love for the youth is particularly strong. She is very nurturing and protective of children in particular and enjoys teaching them about the world. Her interventive measures have steered many misguided teenagers away from a life of crime. Though not everyone she comes across has been friendly, Orisa has an endless supply of patience and is very forgiving and understanding of other people’s viewpoints.

Outside of her operational parameters, Orisa is a very curious individual. She’s very eager to learn new things and explores her emotions more and more every day. Her never-ending quest for knowledge has made her a skillful reader, navigator, and analyst. She seeks to understand everything about the world around her, hoping it will make her a better companion. When she hasn’t got her nose buried in a book or studying new phenomena first-hand, Orisa spends time indulging in some of her favorite learned behaviors. She enjoys playing her drums and dancing to music, she enjoys gardening and tending to animals, and loves spending time with people, especially her creators.

Orisa’s biggest flaw is the fact that she is not nearly emotionally developed enough to truly feel the full weight of things. Most of her emotional processing is run through her artificial cybernetics and not her organic genasi brain. However, she is beginning to understand emotions more and more every day. As her emotional depth develops, so too does her ability to interact with other people and creatures. Orisa is aware that she is not using the full extent of her organic mental capacity and strives to change that. Her ultimate goal is to be the best protector and companion she possibly can be.

• Orisa is a prototype law enforcement official specializing in community assistance, de-escalation, and therapy. She's an effective protector and a kind, charitable friend to all.

• Orisa carries around a large hammer. She usually uses it for shaking the ground, helping to lift things, or carry people around on it. She has never and would never use it against another person.

• Orisa only arrests people if they are an active and unstoppable threat to themselves and people around them.

• Orisa never uses violence to restrain people. The most she tends to do is bear hug them if they’re being particularly unruly.

• Orisa is mostly made of stone, hence her weight. She’s resistant to most types of damage and has a mechanic where she can bolster her natural defense. It causes her to appear a shimmering gold color and it is a fail-safe in case her deployable plasma shield breaks.

• Orisa prefers to talk to people rather than arrest or threaten them. She believes in helping people and making them learn rather than simply punishing them.

• Orisa has a cyborg horse she usually rides around on. It look like a much bigger, much more bulky version of a zebra and its name is Ujasiri.
